"A third of my generation is dead because of politicians like Giuliani." -- Steven Pokorny, age 28, at Giuliani during meeting in Miami, Sunday, Jan. 13

MIAMI, Jan. 13 /Christian Newswire/ -- Rudy Giuliani was rattled by pro-life advocates and canceled his speech at his first bus-tour event Sunday in Miami.  Activists have planned confrontations with Rudy for every stop of his Florida bus tour.  Photos available online.

On Sunday, Jan. 13, at approximately 12:15 PM, pro-life activists were in the crowd at The Green Street Cafe (located at 3110 Commodor Plaza, Coconut Grove Florida, just outside Miami) waiting for Giuliani to begin his Florida Bus Tour.

When Rudy Giuliani arrived, Joseph Landry (age 26) was within 5 feet of the candidate, and began yelling: You are a baby killer! You are a baby killer! Florida is pro-life! Rudy wants public funding for abortion!"  See news report. Law enforcement officials immediately escorted Mr. Landry from the area, while Mr. Landry continued his monologue.

Within Minutes, Steven Pokorny, age 28, stood to his feet and cried out, "A third of my generation is dead because of politicians like Giuliani! Giuliani wants to kill children and have you pay for it!" Law enforcement did not stop Mr. Pokorny.

At that point, Giuliani left the building, without addressing the crowd.

Mr. Pokorny was able to follow Mr. Giuliani for more than a minute, yelling out about Rudy's pro-choice, pro-homosexual agenda. Again, Mr. Pokorny was not interrupted by police.

Giuliani officials had no idea how many pro-lifers were in the crowd, and how many more times Giuliani would be confronted. This might explain why Mr. Giuliani did not make any remarks - and left the meeting without addressing supporters.

Pro-lifers have scheduled confrontations with Rudy on every stop of his Florida Bus tour.

Video footage of the confrontations with Rudy is available upon request.

The first amendment gives you the right to stand in line and ask a question, but not to interrupt!!

If you were NOT allowed to 'interrupt'--Sam Donaldson would have been put out of business his first day in the White House Press Corps!!!!....lol

Bite me. I guy started shouting and was hauled away and then another one took his place. OBVIOUSLY, to anyone besides a friggin’ idiot, he meant to shout Rudy down and was successful in keeping him from speaking.

Yeah, they were there to heckle a politician. We have a Constitution and Bill of Rights in this country, we are allowed to do that.

Take your crap somewheres else bub, like kindergarten, post haste.

So, you disagree with being allowed to speak out against politicians you don't like. Are you a communist or something? Because AMERICANS understand the concept of free speech.

The First Amendment states that the people have a right to assemble peacefully

There is no constitutional right to prevent someone else from express that right. Get real.

Heckling, to the point of disrupting a lawful assembly or preventing other people from speaking, is illegal. It has been litigated many times. Usually comes with a conviction for disorderly conduct.

I heckled B. Clinton once but I did not prevent him from speaking so it was fine. He and the crowd heard me and my cohorts but the event was not disrupted.

Now, if you want to engage in civil disobedience, which is a tradition in American politics, be my guest. BUT you can and should be arrested and you have to be willing to face the consequences. You have to be willing to prevent someone else from exercising their constitutional rights though.

You sincerely think it’s appropriate to take a phrase from 9/11, “let’s roll,” and use it to “give a whole new meaning” to Tiannamen Square? Wow.

He was talking about the tanks rolling into the square to silence the protest.

And let's get real here, the phrase "let's roll" may be associated with 9/11, but it hardly originated there.

But, as long as we're on the only topic that put Rooty Toot in the public eye, why is it that the 3000 innocent Americans who died on 9/11/01 are more important than the 3500 innocent Americans who will die in abortuaries today?

NOBODY was keeping Rooty from speaking, you are delusional if you think they were. Noise DOES NOT prevent a person from speaking.

Rooty Toot was riding in a parade, are you going to sit here and tell me that nobody else along the parade route was shouting things?

Again, if you disrupt a lawful assembly of people exercising their own constitutional rights then you are engaging in illegal conduct.

From the facts contained in the article they made it impossible, impractical or both for Guiliani to speak.

Obviously, the police felt differently or they would have arrested him.

Disrupting someone from speaking is far different from preventing them from speaking.

NOBODY has a right to be heard.

Code pink could care less about the Iraqi people. They care much more about the right to sacrifice babies to their gods. They march feverishly fothe right, same people. This code pink was just made up to deceive the masses.

Do you think Samual Adams and the rest came across well, (nice, and sweet) when they dressed up like Indians, broke in, robbed the tea and threw it in the harbor?

Don't you think killing 4000 babies each day, over 50 million so far, 17% of our population, our tax payers, our comsumers, our arm forces, our caregivers, our crop pickers, our doctors, our scientists who might cure cancer etc is a bigger deal than taxes on tea?

NOBODY has a right to be heard.

If you are conducting a peaceful, lawful assembly then yes, you have a right to express yourself under the First Amendment.

Other people have a right to hear what he had to say. If you prevent them from hearing him then you are violating their right to hear him.

You do not have the right to engage in disorderly conduct. It is illegal and you should be arrested.

The fact that they were not arrested has nothing to do with it and proves nothing. Not all illegal conduct is sanctioned.

You’re just plain wrong and you know it. Give it a rest. You have been out debated and are looking like the fool you are. It is embarrassing.

"...It is not my place or right to tell other people what to do, how to act, or when to protest. That is their right. I don't subscribe to Animal Farm. I see that you do

You are insulting, rude and unable to discuss differences in a civil way. It is highly unlikely anyone with common sense will take your views into account.

Your are inviting rights which simply DO NOT exist.

You do not have the right to engage in disorderly conduct. It is illegal and you should be arrested.

And this man didn't.

You seem to think that a political speech consists of the politician talking and everyone sitting silently until the end. This is simply not the case.

Code pink could care less about the Iraqi people.

How can you possibly say that!?

The anti-war folks care so much that they are willing to organize, and assemble, and hide themselves until the very right moment, and then they jump up and SHOUT DOWN anyone who supports the war and wants to speak publically about his support for the war.

How can you say they don't care?

The anti-Rudy folks care so much that they are willing to organize, and assemble, and hide themselves until the very right moment, and then they jump up and SHOUT DOWN anyone who supports Rudy and wants to speak publically about his support for Rudy.

From here it looks like both groups care an equal amount. They are indistinguishable from each other.

After reading your post I'm also confused, Are you from the anti-Rudy campaign, or are you from Code Pink?

You are no different than a liberal or a fascist who would silence anyone with views or who have a manner of speaking with which you disagree.

And how would I do that? By shouting them down perhaps?

WOW!!!!

Many of us have sacrificed a good deal for the pro-life cause, and full well know that it's not about us.

I've been involved for over thirty years off and on and well understand exactly who and what we're fighting for. It is not my only issue of concern, but it is the number one issue, imho.

You really should be careful not to respond to people, on your side of the aisle in such a manner, particularly over something so petty. It's over the top and alienating and makes pro-lifers look like irrational, crazy people, a label the MSM and others are all to quick to attach us with, btw.

I am a proud member of Free republic, who is a big part of the anti-rudy campaign. (Read the front page of what this site stands for)

You need to do some research on Code Pink and what they really care about. If you actually believe they care about the Iraqi people, you need to see the truth. See this link:

http://www.targetofopportunity.com/codepink.htm

How would you exercise free speech if 4000 U.S. Citizens were dying each day?

What would you personally do to stop a child from being murdered? What would have you done in Hitlers Germany to stop the killing? Just be polite and silent?

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." Samuel Adams

You can keep changing the elements of the debate but it is easy to see that you are turnng into a big weasel trying to weasel out of your stupid statements.

I'm not the one trying to get out of any debate, YOU are the one who wants to curtail free speech rights.

Why are you here? This place is for men, not boys.

The real question is why are you here newbie? Were you banned during the Bug Zapper thread?

".....then you are violating their right to hear him."

LOL! I don't think the Constitution says anything of someone's "right to hear"..

If it does, could you please educate me.

Thanks in advance....
