THE two self-styled spokesmen of the Muslim community who laid into the Bishop of Rochester did themselves and Islam in Britain no favours.

The Ramadhan Foundation and the Islamic Society of Great Britain claimed again that anyone criticising even the most extreme proponents of the poison that beyond any doubt exists inside the Muslim “umma” in our country is criticising all Muslims. This is simply not true and one suspects these “spokesmen” secretly know it.

Bishop Nazir-Ali of Rochester made absolutely plain that he was referring to the extremists and to suggest no such maniacs exist is ludicrous. We all know they do and sensible, peace-loving Muslims who want to live in harmony with the rest of us know it also.

The establishment cuts down Christians & elevates other religions because of the leftist mindset that they are superior to the majority. The problem is not going to go away that is for sure. The GWOT probably will last for fifty or more years. Who knows. It may never go away. But on the other side of the coin, unless literally hundreds of thousands of the real nut cases find ways to do damage, they can be minimized in local wars as we see happening in the mid and far east. Of course that assumes the free world leaders have the guts to continue what GWB started.

One thing I know is that someone who consistently lies to you will believe that anything you say is also a lie. It's a pathology (Perhaps some shrink Freeper will jump in and explain this).

The East/West Center at the UH had exchange students from the Mid East while I was there. There were a lot of problems caused by the Saudi and Emirate's students, some by the Iranians and Pakis too. Most involved harassment of coeds. All were white washed by the college administration and UH security.

It’s the Churchill and George Bernard Shaw story.

During the Edwardian years Churchill was, among many other things, a London theater critic (true enough) who often gave Shaw’s play’s bad reviews (I don’t know about that.).

With the opening of his new play approaching, the story goes that Shaw wrote Churchill: “Enclosed find 2 tickets for my opening night. One is for you; the other for a friend, if you have one.”

Churchill is said to have shot back: “Can’t make opening night but will be there the second night, if there is one.”
