Chris Matthews a target for Clinton fans
The Associated Press. ^ | Jan 12, 2008 | DAVID BAUDER

Posted on 01/12/2008 10:05:57 PM PST by george76

The MSNBC "Hardball" host had more explaining to do after Clinton's victory when he said that the reason Clinton is a candidate for president "is that her husband messed around."

Matthews was the focal point for the anger many women felt at how Clinton's candidacy seemed to be written off with lightning speed following a loss in Iowa and foreboding poll numbers in New Hampshire. He is a man and he is ever sure of himself.

He also had a history: The liberal watchdog Media Matters for America counted more than eight negative remarks Matthews made about Clinton for every positive one during September, October and November.

Matthews appeared on Joe Scarborough's morning MSNBC show ...

"Let's not forget, and I'll be brutal, the reason she's a U.S. senator, the reason she's a candidate for president, the reason she may be a frontrunner, is that her husband messed around," ...

Bam!

That quote raced around the Internet and unleashed a fresh round of anger toward Matthews at a time emotions were already frayed.

“I’ve always refered to her as Castro with cellulite.”

When I saw Hillary Clinton crying it made me think that she is a natural born dicator. Being overly emotional at the prospect of losing, crying for herself, and thereby getting people to do whatever she wants. In retrospect, it seemed very cunning. I am still praying to God and our Lord and Savior that we do not deserve this dictator. There are still some decent people left in this country, and I am praying that the manipulative shrew be brought to shame.

His on air bullying of Michelle Malkin was, of course, A-OK with these people. Little Chrissy does seem to have a problem with women, in my opinion.

This ?

As I am seated at the table with Matthews, who I am meeting for the first time, he cracks a joke—and not in a well-meaning way—about how I look. (There are quite a few people who are hung up on this.) “Are you sure you are old enough to be on the show? What are you? 28?” I grit my teeth. He badgers me again with the same question. I politely answer his question and supply my age.

I wonder how Matthews’ wife, the respected TV journalist Kathleen Matthews, who hosts a show about working women, would react if informed about her husband’s treatment of a fellow female journalist.

I’ve been in the business a dozen years and would be happy to talk to Mrs. Matthews about my firsthand experience with Neanderthal chauvinism in the workplace.

Clintonoids don’t like that Matthews is a partisan hack? Well, they’ve always got the Associated Press.

There is a tendency to get giddy about all of this liberal vs. liberal rhetoric, but make no mistake; when the Democrat convention has annointed its standard bearer, the MSM and other party loyalists will unrelentingly march in lock step against whoever gets the Republican nomination. The lies, the spin and the endless repetition of the Republican’s flaws or faux pas, real, imagined or fabricated, will fill every news show and newspapers headline, ad infinitum, ad nauseam.

I feel the same way. He didn't let that fat blow hard Gore, who tried to steal the election with lawyers, or an equally inept Kerry run the country. I shudder to think what Algores response would have been if he were President on 9/11.

I just don't see her winning. If, by chance, she looses the nomonation, there is no doubt that the Clintonistas and their surrogates will brutally savage whoever the Dems pick.

If Hillary were on the ticket alone he would be for Hillary. BUT......... when Obama decided to run he said ‘’WE’’ Americans MUST elect an African American as president. Forget about his positions or policies,,,,,, doesn’t matter!, Liberals have liberal guilt about how black people have been treated in this country, therefore an African American ‘’MUST’’ be elected to make them feel better! JUST my humble opinion!,,,,,,,,Of course if you are talking about someone like Alan Keyes,,,, then the whole thing is off the table,,,,,,,,

And the Democrat candidates will be kissing and making up like it's Valentine's Day.

The only thing that seems almost impossible now because of the bickering on the Democrat side is a Clinton-Obama or Obama-Clinton ticket, which David Letterman has been wishing for. It's hard to imagine Hillary choosing Obama as a running mate now after saying Obama's campaign is about FALSE hope and after her cigar-toting husband told Charlie Rose that Obama is not ready to run for president. If Obama isn't ready to be president, he's not ready to be vice president, either. And there are about 1,000 good reasons Obama would never choose to run with Hillary.

The liberal watchdog Media Matters for America......

This must have interrupted their ongoing card game with the Maytag Repairman.

I get the feeling that a lot of these rat pundits want anybody but Hillary because they realize that Hillary could never be elected President in a million years.

Traitorous, socialist asshats at AP criticize ex-Carter speech-writer/ delusional DNC water-carrier... Chris Matthews for comments on HRC.

To the DBM, the 2008 election is not Dem vs. Republican... it's Clinton vs. Obama(Marxist Totalitarian vs. Marxist Socialist)

He is in love with Obambi. He said on the air the other night that he cried during one of his speeches.

I guess the only way for Hillary to reach the stone-cold rational Matthews is with pictures of Obama speeches in Kenya followed by images of dead Kenyan children killed by the rebels.

:-)

Yep! There used to be a time when you couldn’t get his lips off her posterior because the suction was so strong...

But the word went down from the top of the far Left dung heap that she was “out” and Obama was the new Flavor of the Year.
and he’s been doing his best, along with many other apparat
to sink her,and float the new Pied Piper, Obama. It’s been going on for a while...The Hollywood Rats have been coaching as well as funding, SNL did their bit...It’s attrition diguised as “tolerance” to a new “voice”, to “compete” with the tired old Clinton “triangulation”.

Wait until the Clintons are back in the WH. Keeping score of "negative remarks made about Clintons" will be a major pillar of their domestic policy. And this time around they've got the Patriot Act as a tool to really crack down on all that rampant anti-Clinton negativity.
