As a catholic who studied to be a priest and a brother who is a priest,i wondered many times why some christians (and jews also)could be so close sometimes and involved in tyranic ideologies and powers...
I found out it was the consequence of a dramatic misunderstanding of their own faith and a lack of education.

I have a cousin who studied to be a Franciscan monk. He left the order to get married 30 years ago...they are still married, both are very devout, and all three of us share your fears. Huckabee has been caught lying too many times in the past few weeks to be the type of Christian he claims to be. He WAS complicit in Dumond's early release, he started fighting for it before becoming governor and then lied about it because his RESPONSE to Dumond's realease was “I concur with the board’s action and hope the lives of all those involved can move forward. The action of the board accomplishes what I sought to do in considering an earlier request for commutation ....”. I can see why the Prosecutor's office has a problem with Huckabee.
He claimed AK had a $850 million dollar surplus when he left office, though AK was a billion dollars in debt; VERY Clintonesque.
His border philosophy sounds like it was plagiarized from Buchannon/Tancredo/Paul (SOLID WALL, SHOOT TO KILL ON BOTH SIDES....and then let them back in after a set period, which only Huckabee could add and get away with) but he campaigned for and signed legislation forcing free scholarship and state grant money to illegals.
PLUS, he dragged out the tired old "single mom working two jobs" crap, and I WAS a single mom working two jobs and I GOT MORE MONEY BACK TAN I PAID IN. THAT was the last straw.
His "fair tax" economic sounds fair until you realize that most of the ill-defined rambling is about tariffs, which have never worked. And how he can charge countries to export goods to our country while not allowing them access is totally beyond me. That is another plargiarization from Paul/Tancredo/Buchannon. And it WON'T WORK in a free market, GLOBAL economy.
HE says he wants energy independence, which is nice...so do we all. He has no plan to achieve this, and he voted against drilling ANWR. Huckabee makes Ross Perot look like a straight shooter.
