NASHUA A top Clinton adviser faces charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated after city police caught him speeding through Greeley Park a day before the state primary.
Sidney Blumenthal, longtime friend and senior adviser to presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y. was allegedly driving a rented car north on Concord Street at a speed of 70 mph when Nashua Police Sgt. Mike Masella decided to stop it at about 12:30 a.m. Monday.
-snip-
Blumenthal was arrested after completing the test and taken to the police department where he refused to take a breath test and was booked on a charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated, Masella said.

Hell, it's public information. Maybe a nice Freeper could go down and pick up a copy. Same for the dashboard video.
Here’s a link to the Nashua PD. Not sure if they post booking photos...

I doubt that word made it to the newspapers. I’m a retired LEO from NH, and have had contact with many politicians passing through—either through traffic violations or security details. It’s easy for these things to slip through the cracks unless the department issues a press release or someone inside the department makes a phone call.
This scares me. Seriously. Who made the decision to keep this under wraps for nearly a week? This is a free and vigorous press?
Good. That is one disgusting Clinton operative.
I suppose it’s too much to hope that he provoked the cops to beat the crap out of him first.
This story would have been a lot better if they’d had to Tase him.
WHERE are the booking photos and the dashboard video??? Can you spell C-O-V-E-R-U-P???
Thank you for the inside view.
I am very surprised, though, that telephone call wasn't made. This is one of the most prominent men in the U.S. on the eve of a very widely watched political event in which he was a very active participant.
When you’re around these politicians all the time, it’s no big deal. The only one who I really enjoyed seeing and protecting was Reagan. The Bushes, especially 41, are decent and authentic men.
These guys are a dime a dozen at primary time. The news coverage makes them seem larger than life, but up close, they’re not much different than the small-time politician running for city council.
Bad Swamp Thing!
refusing was the smart thing to do, however he should have refused the roadside exercises too. (they are legally not tests)
That said, it will be interesting if this dirty tricks opperative will be out of commission.
“he refused to take a breath test”
Sid: “Don’t you know who I am?”
-where I live NO ONE would cooperate with the press -they are the enemy. They make everyone they interview look stupid, backwoods and incompetent. The MSM stinks.......we don’t bother with them. Everyone in town will hear this through the grapevine and it will be more accurate. Much more effiecient.
In my local newspaper, about twice a week, there is a listing of the arrests that all the agencies have made for the previous few days. Now, one would think that this listing is made available on a daily basis to the paper.
Question then becomes, is this information also available in Nashua?
“This happened on MONDAY???!!!”
Sandy Berger stole documents intended for the 9/11 Commission from the National Archives. You never read about that, either. These Washington people, both in politics and the press, take care of their own.
