I just realized John McCain sounds like Casey Kasem when he talks. An incoherent Casey Kasem.

Yes, Fred did very well tonight. A Romney/Thompson ticket would make a lot of sense. They would heal the rifts in the Party and save us from McCain/Huckabee!

They've been flying all over the country and campaigning to beat hell, so I'll cut them all a little slack on that. Not a criticism. Just something I noticed. Even Mitt looked very tired. That's the first time I've seen him look like that.

Fred was really landing the heavy blows tonight. No knock outs, but a lot of wobbly knees.
GO FRED.

Debate over, and Thompson barely uttered a word against SC frontrunner McCain. There is a McCain-Thompson corrupt bargain.Oh come on. It's SC and the Bible belt. His target here has to be Huckabee.

Did you hear Fred say that we should “trust the Fed”? I found that disturbing.

I don’t mind him asserting himself. I have a problem with him using his time to attack another candidate when that candidate doesn’t have an opportunity to respond because of the debate format. Fred agreed to this debate format and basically lied because he didn’t abide by it. What if some other candidate up there did the same thing, saying “Fred Thompson believes in this and that and his record is this and that” for 120 seconds and then Fred gets 15 seconds to respond?

In Election 2008, think Southern Democrat for the Huckabee types, they were what made up a huge part of the Reagen Coalition.

Why does everyone think Romney had a night?
He didn’t say one memorable thing all night. He needed some traction, and never got a sniff.
