This is not the issue, he was asked a question that was on many people mind and he answered it brilliantly. He also answered many other questions brilliantly. I know that many freepers do not like Huckabee but he is the best speaker and communicator in the Republican field and can also beat any democrat in any debate.

The anti-evangelical response is because Carter was elected by evangelicals because he knew the Bible. But he didn’t know how to lead a nation. They see Huckabee in the same light.

There is a possibility that a Lib (Huckabee) may be elected as our nominee because of one-issue voters. He will then lose to either ZHillary or Obama. If that happens expect most Republicans to turn their backs on evangelicals for good.
