One problem. He doesn't have the degree. From World Net Daily (Dec. 14, 2007): Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee told the Christian Broadcasting Network he had a theology degree, he told voters in Iowa he had a theology degree, he repeated the claim in last month's CNN YouTube debate ... but, his campaign now says, it was not true.

Bragging about a theology degree is kinda like bragging about having a dog with the clap.
ROTFLMAO!
Holy Then Thou, Batman!
This needs to get out to all the media. How can the people of America support a candidate who is already proving that he can’t be trusted!
Eh, the real issue is his liberal record and foreign policy cluelessness.
Can we get over with this fraud Huckabee, already?
Here was his response:
I have a bachelor of arts in religion and a minor in communications in my undergraduate work. And then I have 46 hours on a master's degree at Southwestern Theology Seminary. So, my degree as a theological degree is at the college level and then 46 hours toward a masters -- three years of study of New Testament Greek, and then the rest of it, all in Seminary was theological studies, but my degree was actually in religion
I once woke up behind a grocery store covered in barf. I’m not proud of it but when I went to clean myself up I found a theology degree in my back pocket.
You are so CORRECT. This is just another chink in the armor. I have always seen Huckabee as the Republican Carter and we don’t want that again!
A degree in theology is nothing to be ashamed of.
I agree and we conservatives need to start paying attention to these things when it comes to ALL our candidates. We need to look at what the Socialists will do with these negatives. The answer to which, of course, is bury them!
I guess a B.A. is no longer considered a degree?
Seriously, folks... He has a BA in religion, and 46 graduate credits in theology.
What?? Huck lie??? But, but, he has dimples!
Like I said before, Huckabee reminds me of the Pharisees of Biblical times, who loudly and publicly professed their Godliness and judgement of those who failed to live up to Biblical laws, but whose minds and souls were not truly committed to Godliness.
Yeah, I remember this.
The only reason he’s getting a pass on this is the media doesn’t understand the degree awarding process in that discipline. Someone who claimed a degree in history, but was several credits short would be destroyed.
A degree in religion is not a degree in theology. It is literally like someone claiming to be an MD who finished only his bachelors degree majoring in Pre Med.
You've got a point, but that applies equally to just about all the candidates.
Bragging about a theology degree is kinda like bragging about having a dog with the clap.
...Or a dog with mange.
Oh, it is out. The MSM is saving it all up to unleash on Huck should he get on the the ticket.
“Like I said before, Huckabee reminds me of the Pharisees of Biblical times, who loudly and publicly professed their Godliness and judgement of those who failed to live up to Biblical laws, but whose minds and souls were not truly committed to Godliness.”
Well put.
