Meanwhile Rudy is increasing his ad exposure in Florida.

At this point it is hard to see him losing Florida.

I think Thompson and Romney need to gang up on Huck in the SC debate. Thompson needs to bring out those prosecutor skills and lay out a case on Huck’s enabling of bringing in illegal immigrants for Tyson and other Arkansas employers.

I don't see this as a panic move, but as a rational cost-benefit calculation and clear-eyed prioritization after a couple of significant setbacks. It's a smart move. In fact, it's basically the John McCain strategy for New Hampshire, transplanted to Michigan for Romney.
It's been Fred's plan in South Carolina and Rudy's plan in Florida, too. Everyone will go into Super Tuesday with a win under their belt, and all will carry their party factions. And the convention will be brokered. And Fred and Mitt will join forces to produce a Thompson-Romney ticket.

It is interesting in this campaign cycle how the tradition method of garnering votes - big media buys in the dinosaur media of TV - is losing out.

But what is it losing out to? That's a mixed story: traditional boots-on--the-ground retail politics (good), and identity politics (bad, bad, bad).

We need to ramp up conservative education on the internet - and get our flavor of the internet to more "off-the-grid" demographics - to counter the rising socialist tide in the U.S.

New poll out today by Lansing, Michigan pollster:

Huckbee 23
Romney 22
McCain 18

And that’s AFTER Romney dropped $1 million in TV ads last month in Michigan, while Huck spent...zero.

Mitt Romney needs a win in the primaries soon

Wyoming, but who cares about the Cowboy State

Besides that I think Rudy, Fred, Hunter, Paul need to win a primary more at this time then Mitt, Huck, or McCain do.

That is very good indeed.

Keep Mitt spending money. He can’t afford to do badly there.

I’ve heard that Hunter is doing okay in Nevada, but that was just heresay.
One would think that Nevada is strong for McCain.

A very interesting three weeks ahead, guys!

With the news that Romney pulled some ads in Fl and SC people act like Romney is hurting. But Romney raised 4million dollars yesterday, and came in second.

I’m not sure the strategy is sound. Independents will like slaughter Romney in favor of McCain.

I have the phone on “do not disturb” so no pollster called here. I’ve also been spreading the news that Huck’s a fake. Here’s hoping the voters here won’t fall for the con. (not holding my breath)

Huck doesn’t spend just $, he used in kind donations from untaxed churches, from the Fair Tax folks and heavy pushing from a couple influential talk radio figures in Des Moines to build and organize his Iowa victory although he did spend quite a bit more $ than he wants people to think. Just like the Rats use unions, African American churches, liberal interest groups and the MSM to supplement their $. Meanwhile Mitt runs his campaign in the open with $ raised from donors (IIRC 85% of his total as of the last fund raising report) or earned through his own previous hard work.

Name another candidate with as much broad based support as Rpmney? None of them do....they all have very narrow niches.

“Name another candidate with as much broad based support as Romney.”

O.K.

Ron Paul and Duncan Hunter.

They’re the only other candidates who have about as much broad based support at Mitt Romney.

National polls are meaningless!

They are only used by people when the numbers favor their candidate.
