Yeah. Tell my 15 year old nephew that. He had a really rough time with it when he was younger. These days he's making A's, reading a lot, and off the meds. His parents never let his ADHD be an excuse for him.

ADHD is overdiagnosed, but not BS.

It apparently doesn’t get studied any longer but earlier studies in the late 80s showed by ‘ADD’ or ‘ADHD’ was predominantly in males with above average intelligence.

Thankfully we drugged the living sh!t out of them or who knows how many of them would have grown up to vote for Republicans!

Sure it is.

What they call “hyperactivity” I call being a normal little boy. Very active.

Hyper compared to little girls?

Your nephew could not have been any more “hyper” than I was and they would have definitely pushed to drug the living sh*t out of me.

Your nephew had a rough time because people around him were not up to the task of coping with him, and the teachers today are clueless how to teach or handle him without the crutch of drugging the little guttersnipes up.

This is the shining truth on this issue.
Darn NEA teachers can't handle a boy being a boy, and if they can't get him to act like a girl and sit still, they drug him.
Meanwhile, boys with REAL problems can be dismissed as "BS" because of all of the false diagnosis.

And there are several different kinds and degrees of ADD/ADHD. Most do outgrow it.

Some live with it their whole lives!

Don’t you hate it when ignoramuses do that? One bad thing about the Internet is having to put up with so much of that crap (on various issues).

I agree, I have a seventeen year old that has had to deal with it his whole life. Tried meds and got him off quick. We think some of the meds may have affected his growth also. We worked real hard to help him keep up in school and it has paid off too. He does take a herbal supplement that we found that has none of the side effects that the regular meds have but help him stay focused. In fact both are kids take it. Its called mindcare.
