No, you did not hurt my feelings. You look stupid, but I don't mind.

I will support the republican nominee whoever it is, because they are all hawks and the dems are all defeatists, and that is what counts for me (and I might add, for the country, in history, etc).

But if someone once calling you names in a fight over one issue means you don't care if you get your way on that issue, you still will never work with them on anything ever again - then why not take up knitting? Because politics will never be your game.

Medved on Hewitts show now saying that all the Obama independent voters assumed he would win handily based on the polling and decided to vote for McCain. Makes sense now.

The Republican party should disallow any delegates from any states that allow independents or democrats to switch parties on the day of the primary to vote for a republican candidate.

This is not the "independent" primary. It is the REPUBLICAN Primary.

Well now there was an intellectually thought out response that clearly answered the question.

Plus, on pure image alone, compare and contrast Mitt on stage against an Obama or Hillary. Subconsciously he looks and talks like the better candidate.

Sorry, bucko. I'm not about to sit here and educate you on what conservatism is all about. If you don't know by now, you never will.

Let me suggest you listen to Rush. He doesn't consider Giuliani, Huckabee, McCain or Romney to be conservatives either. And he's right. Rush does consider Fred the only conservative of the top tier of GOP candidates. Read what Rush has to say and then read by posts for the last eight years, right here on Free Republic. Get informed.

Remember the New Hampshire Concord which stated on their front page that “MITT ROMNEY MUST BE STOPPED AT ALL COSTS.” IT makes you think.

“Is Jay Sekulow on LSD?”

NOW he is - at least according to you - because he endorsed Mitt Romney, Jay Sekulow became a druggie - LOL!

If you listen to John Edwards, we might be better off living in a 3rd world country.

He is disgusting. Cannot stand him.

You’ve completely summarized my own position, including the three children. I can’t afford to risk sitting out because a “strong” on all three of the conservative stool legs candidate didn’t win the nomination. Frankly, I prefer the strongest conservatives to be in congress, Presidents are a lot more about international perceptions. I have sleepless nights thinking about a dem pres/ dem congress. Shudder.

Higher taxes, open borders, handcuffed intelligence interrogators, muzzle on political speech....Oh, yeah, it’s all good....and then there’s the S&L scandal, but we’ve all forgotten that, haven’t we?

Amen. That is ultimately what this is all about. Imagine an Obama Supreme Court nominee. Or worse, a Hillary nominee. With a Democratic Congress no less. It sshakes me to the core.

“Is Jay Sekulow on LSD?”

I predict Fred Thompson will be the next person on LSD according to many Freepers.

Respect for his service and suffering for our country does not give him a lifetime free pass to champion issues and policies that will destroy this country.

Just as John Murtha’s service is appreciated and respected but his positions on the war in Iraq (saying the war is lost while Americans were under fire) are NOT!

Both McCain and Murtha conducted themselves honorable on the field of battle only to support reprehensible positions while serving as elected representatives.

Amnesty for illegals, McCain-Finegold, gang of 14, Keating, AGW and insane Green support and homosexual marriage all are anathema. McCain, Murtha and any other candidate supporting these must be vigorously confronted.

Romney is Bush with brains and actual management talent.

Let me make a slight correction:

Romney is Bush JOHN KERRY with brains and actual management talent.

Seriously, why the hell do independents get to vote in either party’s primary in an early primary state? Why don’t my husband & I (contributing & active republicans) get a say, but some “independent” in NH gets to help determine our candidate?

I know what conservatism is. I asked for your definition of what makes a conservative since you have a narrow view. You proved incapable of answering the question.
