For one, Rush cannot promote conservatism (which he does) and support a social liberal like Rudy Giuliani.

That leaves Huckabee, Thompson and Mitt Romney. I personally like Fred Thompson the best of them all. Fred Thompson needs to get it in gear though, or it will end up being Mitt or Huckabee.

Mitt Romney is being ripped as a flip-flopper and one who changes his views on a dime by the Republican candidates. You don’t think this will hurt him in the general election?

Huckabee will bring in socially conservative DEms. Independents and Republicans to vote for him. Fiscal conservatives will vote for Huckabee rather than let Hillary or Obama win. Those that want to remain on the offensive in the WOT, and want to stop illegal immigration will know that Huckabee is better on those issues than Hillary or Obama.

In some ways, pickings are slim this election cycle. We may end up having to take what we can get — for now.

Oh my. Sorry, Rush is never wrong. At least I almost always agree when I hear him. You need to understand this:

HUCK IS A LIBERAL, HE IS NOT A CONSERVATIVE.
HE IS ALSO THE MOST LIBERAL RUNNING IN EITHER PARTY.

Lynne Hunter, Jan. 5, 2007, “Don’t let the press pick your candidate”

Smart words from the smart lady who is Mrs. Duncan Hunter.

(Photo: David Lienemann/Associated Press)

AMES, Iowa — Mike Huckabee played bass for much of the morning with his rock-and-roll band “Capitol Offense,” taking the stage at one point with an Elvis impersonator and Lynn Hunter, the wife of his rival for
the Republican nomination, Representative Duncan Hunter, to sing Johnny B. Goode.

“Is Elvis with you Lynn?” he asked?

“I’m afraid so,” she said. “He’s voting for Hunter.”

Socially conservative Republicans? Like me? I can’t stand the sight of the Huckster. He oozes that oily charm, and it makes me want to puke on my shoes! Here he is during the debate, lying to Mitt’s face about the surge. And here he is a few months ago, saying the exact opposite. All in one convenient link. What he said then and what he says now. What a flat out liar this Huckster is!!

Fred Thompson needs to get it in gear though, or it will end up being Mitt or Huckabee.

The way he can get it in gear is by getting his message out. The only way to do this is via money. Will you contribute?

Fiscal conservatives will vote for Huckabee

Nope. Tax Hike Mike's record is actually worse that that of the average Democrat.

The only important issue on which Romney changed is abortion.
He was pro-choice, now he is pro-life. I call that a flip.
Not a flip-flop. Flop would require him to change back.

Then again McCain was pro-amnesty bill, now he is against it.
Huckster was for tuition to progeny of illegals and now is against it. Those are not Flips?

Thompson is the only consistent with no flips and no flops.
But Romney is better OVERALL. Better looking, better speaker, younger looking, only one with successful business experience, good governor record considering he was in Massachusetts, right positions on abortion, jihadists, economy, taxes, border etc.
