Okay, Glenn admits his surgery was butt surgery.
That is EXACTALLY how I remember the experience! Thank you. I didn't want to sound like I was exagerating. There is much more (that I won't bore you with) - but WHY?
When I had to be in the hospital for any reason many years ago, I was treated like the above poster said treatment was in a Mennonite hospital.
And, guess what? I honestly believe that healing progresses more rapidly if you are being treated kindly and with human respect.
I just wrote to Glenn Beck, imploring him to continue to expose this horrifying situation in Hospitals, today.
Sounds like you lived a nightmare. A nurse/associate/friend advised that if someone you care about is in the hospital, make sure someone is there 24/7 to ensure they're cared for properly.
I am sorry you had to endure pain like that! IMHO, there is no excuse for nursing staff at a certified hospital to ignore a patients cries for help.
What is happening to our hospitals today?
I think Glenn Beck touched on it: His best friend tried to call him for almost two days. But the person who answered the hospital phone couldn’t understand enough English to connect him to Glenn’s room.
Don't medical people have intuition or common sense? It would certainly help them prioritize.
If it's just a job, they should go flip burgers.
I read his account on his website.....IMHO Glenn is a wimp!
Glenn has always been creeped out by blood.
Unbelievably inhumane! Did you sue?
Likewise, I am sorry what you had to endure. That is outrageous.
My nurse gets no pass for not understanding English. She was American.
My nurses never even spoke to me. (So, I wouldn’t know if they spoke English or not.) They seemed to all be rushed and angry - all the time. (I never complained once - just begged for a shower after five days).
My doctor was appalled. He told me to write to the Administrators - I didn’t bother. What good would it have done?
He left the hospital shortly thereafter, and went into his own specialized practice in Phoenix.
Very bad, yorkie....pathetic and bad.
NO, and they have never given me a bill copy. After the insurance was billed, they sent it straight to collection...I refused to pay. It is in limbo.
This is not so unusual...I know people here who have horror stories too.
My father was in the hospital for a whole year in 1950...polio...I never heard him or my mother complain even once. Times are different.
I’m surprised that they didn’t just have him stick his ass out the car window and operate on it drive thru style...trust me things have changed...hospitals aren’t even that clean anymore
No kidding. A woman is pregnant and suddenly she forgets how to wipe her a$$? Whatever.
So who’s the hero here? You for putting up with that level of treatment without “drama” or complaint or Glenn for deciding it’s BS and we can do better?
This is what Glen said about Obama on Jan. 7:
“I don’t even know what the guy’s policies are, for the love of Pete. I mean, has anybody challenged him on any policies? Can anyone challenge him on policies?
They now can because it’s Democrats. But once Republicans have their chance to challenge him on policies, are you going to be called a racist? I don’t know what the guy’s policies are.
I just know what the guy’s image is. And the guy, his image is one of hope, his image is one of change, his image, he is Oprah Winfrey. He’s a chick in pants in many ways.”

I was in nursing school. One of over 500 applicants. 38 got in and only 12 graduated. I had the highest test scores in the class bar none, but because I was male, a clinical instructor targeted me and wrote me up for everything. (She was overheard by another student saying, “Men don’t belong in this profession.”) This is true, but hard to believe: The same instructor failed another student in her last hour when she turned off an IV machine when the alarm sounded. This girl went to nursing school for three years, and the instructor just said, “You’re a danger giving medication, go home.” In her last hour of her last day of clinicals!! In this program, if you fail, you are out for good. Even Medical doctors don’t face this kind of scrutiny. I suppose we could have sued, but when I realized what nurses have to do day in and day out, I decided that it wasn’t worth it. My wife made it through by the skin of her teeth, but she wishes she had chosen a different profession.
I am surprised. Where my wife went to nursing school they treated the couple of guys like royalty. They could do no wrong. My wife constantly complained about the breaks the guys got.
‘So whos the hero here? You for putting up with that level of treatment without drama or complaint or Glenn for deciding its BS and we can do better?”
Clearly I am. :-) I criticized glenn for whining, sniveling and crying for his momma like a 5 year old girl, not for complaining.
To which it was repeated by many, many people saying they were just convinced that he was God himself, and could not be beat by our lousy Republicans.
Very typical of GOP commentators and voters, fragging ones own, and praising the enemy as invincible, when he is just Oprah's kid.
