Are these payouts from local tax revenues? Or are there federal monies mixed in with all that “largesse”?
I strongly suspect that the only way local governments can afford to pay out those kind of entitlements, is if the feds are giving them big bucks.
All that CHEAP labor comes back to haunt you through WELFARE and SOCIAL PROGRAMS while the EMPLOYER rakes in the dough. Just imagine if the ILLEGALS were all “properly” welcomed with citizenship ... and tried to live on slave wages what that would do to social services and your taxes!

As long as California can afford it, and the voters have elected the people who make these decisions and write the checks, who cares? People get the government they deserve.

So, who should the taxpayers be blaming, exactly?
The only surprise to me is that they are releasing the figures. It really should be common sense that illegals cannot get by on the low salaries they are generally paid.
Illegals use social services to get by on low wages, meaning taxpayers are making it possible for business owners to pay low wages. I cannot imagine why anyone would support this if they knew how it all really works.
