“”He is saying that if you do not buy insurance you are responsible for paying the costs you incur when you see a doctor. It is the EXACT opposite of socialism.”
The simple fact is, that everyone must purchase health care insurance even if they do not need it or want it.

I could have saved many thousands of dollars over the years if I chose to not purchase health insurance.

I chose else, and so my $$$ is gone.

Mitt’s Law takes that choice away from me and others.

It is unAmerican.

YOU ARE SIMPLY WRONG. UNDER MITT YOU CAN CHOOSE EITHER TO BUY HEALTH CARE INSURANCE OR PAY AS YOU USE IT. YOU DO NOT GET A FREE RIDE.

IT IS PATHETIC YOU DO NOT KNOW THE FACTS F-A-C-T-S!!!

The FACTS is that I have had a Health Care Plan for many years even though it turns out that I really would have saved a lot of dough by not having it.

Before Mitt imposed his plan on my neighbors and myself I might have had an opportunity to do other things of my own choice with MY MONEY!

Mitt with the stroke of a pen has taken away that prerogative from people who live near and around me. That is wrong.

I suppose that it is all just karma, in a way.

Don’t get all mad at me now....The fact of the matter is that I really, genuinely like Mitt Romney, and I actually voted for him 5 years ago, and before that in 1994 as well.

The Health Care Mandate is wrong, and it is too bad if you simply do not understand why.

No, it is you that does not know the facts! Read this!

Massachusetts residents who remain uninsured in 2008 will begin facing monthly fines based on their age and income, according to new regulations unveiled by the Department of Revenue on Monday.

Here are how much different people may have to pay:

— The highest fines are leveled at those earning three times the annual federal poverty level, or $30,636 for an individual. Individuals aged 27 or older who are over that income threshold will pay the top fine of $76 a month, or $912 a year.

— Married couples earning more than $41,076 would each have to pay the top fine for a combined penalty of $1,824 if they are both uninsured for the entire year.

— Those aged 18-26 earning more than $30,636 will pay $56 a month or $672 a year.

— Individuals earning between $20,425 and $25,536 face a $420 fine for the year. Those earning between $15,325 and $20,424 face a $210 fine.

— There are no fines for individuals earning less than $15,325.

Penalties for not obtaining health care in 2008 [Happy New Year from ROMNEYCARE]

This is a government MANDATED program. You have absolutely no choice about participation. I don't have healthcare and I DO pay as I go. I've been fortunate not to have extremely high healthcare needs but right now, I can't afford $400 - $500 a month for insurance.

We live in MA, and recently boughtn into a health insurance plan. You do NOT have the choice to NOT get a health insurance plan. If you didn't choose a plan before the end of December, you are fined $219. If you haven't chosen by the following year, you are fined almost $1000.

If you want to see what actually happened with the Romneycare plan, you can go to the Commonwealth Connector site, or the Commonwealth Care site. The danger is that the MA legislature will continue to go up on costs for those in the upper income brackets in order to subsidize the lower income folks. The group that's really getting stuck are the young folks, 20-30 who made the decision NOT to purchase health insurance, because they think they'll remain healthy, and want to spend that $12000 or so on payments on a new car, or a better apartment.
