Charles Gibson will moderate the Republican and Democrat debates tonight in New Hampshire, beginning at 7 PM Eastern.
Have at it..
exactly....Mitt came across as extremely condescending....constantly interrupting...like a junior high hall way spat....
When he was debating McCain and McCain was smiling. A few times. Mitt was quite defensive and tense.
My comment was to a childish comment that described McCain being like a nasty little kid.
I think someone got their feelings hurt.
“They ABC just said very good things about Fred. I like it..”
But then they blew it and brought out Diane Sawyer to talk about ‘feelings’...(gagging ) She is priming the audience to get ready not to think...just FEEEEEEEL when it comes to the dems.
Sunnyflorida, thanks again (btw i am in newberry). The people who talk about mitt this way never ever listen to anything rational. they made up their minds long ago. I am so glad to see a Fred person recognize the TRUTH and say it.
Agreed, moved well, lot’s of issues raised, some drama and a few zingers.
Well moderated.
FWIW I used to do American Debate in High School and can appreciate the amount of prep and research a debate requires from the participants and the organizers.
Same, or new, thread on Dem debate?
Agree with them that Fred did very well but didn't they just have to add 'it may be too late'.
LOL!
great shot! LMAO
“The fed intentionally devalued the dollar as a strategy to reduce the cost of our national debt.”
And this was before they started adding new printing presses to jack M3 up to the moon as part of the monetization of huge amounts of debt in the last 6 months in response to the CDO/subprime stuff.
Shadowstat reports IIRC show M3 going up at nearly a 20% annualized rate!!!
Smart man
He looked like evil eye baby on yahoo.
yep
I thought Fred did as well as anyone, but wasn’t fabulous. He sounded reasonable and thoughtful, and didn’t pretend to have the ultimate solutions to all the hard problems, but he did acknowledge the difficulty of some of the issues, and the fact that the solutions will not be perfect, and that Government solutions are often the source of the problem.
Mitt came across well when he spoke on specific policies, but let people rattle him. I don’t know how he might perform with the dem sleeze machine hits him.
McCain was looking for the cutesy soundbite and never found it. He scares me now more than ever, especially after hugging Hillary.
Rudy sounded sensible, but much of what he DIDN’T say is where I am concerned.
Huck was pretty much the same. He avoided explaining some of his more liberal positions, so he didn’t lose points.
Ron lost points on the war and the monetary policy, and will need to do more to convince people that it matters. His concern about the problems with creating a welfare state was his best moment.
Good Post.
That's because he is.
Romney looked uncomfortable trying to defend himself. He spoke with no authority at all. He did not do a good job.
I hope there is alot of talk about Fred now! MAybe on the sunday talk shows they will start to talk about Fred.....thus starts the momentum. Is there another repubbie debate coming up?
I don’t think even Huck saw the debate. Hunter had a greater presence.
