They must have done alot of that in Florida.

I played a golf course near Homosassa that was designed around bomb craters.

Can't remember the name of the place...

This isn't in Boyton Beach, the school itself is located about 5 miles east of Orlando Airport.

This area used to be heavily forested mixed with farmland. Then about 10 years ago they started clearing massive areas for housing. About 5 or so years ago Odyssey Middle School was built.

What they didn't know is that the area around where the middle school stands used to be part of the Pinecastle Jeep Bombing Range (kinda funny the developers missed this).

Orlando International Airport was an old Air Force training base, then became an operational bombing base called McCoy Airfield, hence the Orlando International Airport code of MCO - if anyone ever wondered.

Soon after the school was built some munitions were found. They keep finding more, and more, and more. Now the homeowners in the area are up in arms as their homes are probably worthless about now, and the parents are understandably concerened about the school being located on the edge of an old bombing range.

Damn! That’s a bigger stash than some of the caches found ‘round my neck of the woods.

"Officials said they have unearthed more than 400 pounds of World War II-era bombs and munitions from the grounds around Odyssey Middle School in Boynton Beach over the holiday break."

But it's impossible that there are WMDs in Iraq.

I wonder how many of those my brother dropped during his bombardier training in Florida prior to his deployment to England in1944. I’ll have to ask him tomorrow if he trained there...

Any information on any school administrators wetting themselves when learning of evil military armaments being found close by?

The school doubtless failed to post a “No Bomb Zone” sign on the property.
