New Haven (AP) _ A federal judge says prosecutors may not introduce at trial a claim that a former Navy sailor plotted to attack military personnel. Hassan Abu-Jihaad is charged with disclosing the location of Navy ships to terrorism supporters.

The 31-year-old Abu-Jihaad of Phoenix pleaded not guilty in April to charges he provided material support to terrorists with intent to kill U.S. citizens and disclosed classified information relating to national defense. He is accused of disclosing the location of Navy ships and the best ways to attack them.

During a hearing in November, prosecutors played secretly recorded phone calls as they tried to show how Abu-Jihaad spoke in code about plotting sniper attacks on military personnel and recruiting stations. Some of the calls were with his former roommate who was convicted in November in an unrelated plot to attack an Illinois mall with hand grenades.

Named “Abu-Jihaad”. Go figure. Maybe just to track the dolt.

Hassan Abu-Jihaad

Doesn't a name like this automatically evoke images of a beautiful warm summer day in a lush, green, fertile valley with birds singing, families having picnics, children chasing butterflies, little puppy dogs chasing their tails, little soft fluffy kittens meowing, and colorful wild flowers blowing in the gentle breeze?

......with the families and children's necks slit open and their arms and legs blown over the valley....while the animals eat their entrails and the dogs fight over scraps of bodies.

there now it's a nice muz-slum holiday scene.

You must be confused. The Connecticut Abu-Jihaad's are friendly.

Why is this story not getting national media attention?

QUESTION: “Doesn’t a name like this automatically evoke images of a beautiful warm summer day in a lush, green, fertile valley with birds singing, families having picnics, children chasing butterflies, little puppy dogs chasing their tails, little soft fluffy kittens meowing, and colorful wild flowers blowing in the gentle breeze?”

ANSWER: That is only the first part of the sceene; the part you see just seconds before some raghead that a turd-brain judge let go free, detonates his explosive vest right in the middle of it all!

........bye, bye, Miss American Pie; drove my chevy......

Please pardon me for being suspicious, but:

Should Brit Hume be the poster boy for Free Republic? From what I’ve seen he is leaning leftward more and more; takes every opportunity to trash, minimize or IGNORE Fred Thompson and other true conservatives, etc.

What am I missing here?

I wonder how long he’s been out of the Navy. If he’s still serving his inactive reserve obligation I’d recall him to active duty and try him under the UCMJ.
