It sounds like he's accusing ABC of having made cash donations to them separate from the debate issue. That would very clearly be a federal crime, as corporations are explicitly banned from donating to candidates under any circumstances.

Good for him. The media has no right to decide who to include and who to exclude. I surely wish the candidates included would say thanks, but no thanks until everyone is invited.
ET is wrong. ABC owns the microphones, they get to decide who will show up. ET should shut up or buy ad time.
You didn't pose the question to me, but let me answer. I sure don't want the government dictating what the networks may or may not do in the name of fairness. If you want to boycott them, then have at it. Leave Washington out of the mix.
If my favored candidate, Thompson, had been excluded I'd be furious. I already think the media's giving him short shrift. Nonetheless, I do not favor any "fairness" laws which would require Brit Hume, for example, to devote a segment of his show to good news about Fred (or any news for that matter).
It's an imperfect system that we have, but bringing gov't. into it, would only make it worse. IMHO.

Correction to myself: a quick search found one site (I couldn't find the official site) which says there are 21 Rep. candidates on the NH primary ballot, so lots of true fringe types must be on there. However, I still doubt than many of them have campaigned there, given interviews on local media, or even visited the place. Hunter has. Paul has lots of support. The "front runners" who will be in the debate will spend all their time arguing over who flip-flopped the most, anyway. Who wants to hear that again? I'd almost rather watch Ron Paul screeching maniacally and doing his Queeg impersonation.
I say let them all be heard and let them all answer the same questions. Put all the names in the pot and do a special all week. If you mix up the big names with the unknowns people will watch.
Remember the debate where Reagan said angrily that he had paid for the event? All the real candidates were there, including little-known dark horses. Reagan and his people didn’t cut them out.

In Foxnews’ case, they are just shilling for their boy. Someone should file an FEC complaint aginst them for making undisclosed in-kind contributions. I hear it only costs about $80. It would be easy to prove. They could just DNA sample the brown spot on Hannity’s nose.
Make it a game show. Let the people vote and eliminate one each night. “I’ll take your torch now, Senator ______” :’)
Ron Paul shouldn't be too upset because the right to appear in political debates on TV networks weren't included in the Constitution.
They are differentiating between known losers and candidates.
