"We're proud to endorse Senator Thompson for president because he has a long track record of supporting pro-life principles," stated Steven Ertelt, President of Right to Life of Wyoming. "Senator Thompson had a 100% pro-life voting record during his tenure in Congress. Today, he supports overturning the Roe v Wade decision which allowed for unlimited abortions, he opposes euthanasia, and he opposes forcing taxpayers to fund scientific research that requires the destruction of human life."
Right to Life of Wyoming (RTLW) is the state affiliate of the National Right to Life Committee which has endorsed Senator Thompson for President, along with 13 other state affiliates.
"I'm blessed and honored to have the endorsement of the Right to Life of Wyoming for President of the United States," said Senator Thompson. "Thirteen right to life organizations from coast to coast have voted to endorse my candidacy, and more likely will, because they know I have stood with them yesterday, I stand with them today, and will stand with them tomorrow. They know I have the ability to win this election. They know I believe in the sanctity of life and as President I will do all that I can do to protect life."

I agree with Federalism because (other than that seems to be Constitutional - enough in itself) the best government is small and as local as possible.
Besides, laws always seem to come booby trapped. At the least, they are enforced by prisons and guns.
Thank you, my dear libertarian friend. Hope you are well, and happy new year to you!
Quite a mess the critters have morphed into, on both sides of the aisle, I might add.
“I want an honest anwser to this. Has the following been explained to everyones satisfaction?”
I read all the responses to you. I would have to say NO.
I never heard of Duncan Hunter before this year....but I still like the man and what he stands for.
Go FRed!
Questionnaires or surveys such as this are very common and numerous. They go across the desk of elected officials constantly.
The bottom line is that he denies that this was his position then and it is not his position now. As far as I know, there is no other document or record from that that time period or since which would call his denial into question. When The National Right to Life investigated this, they were satisfied with his explanation and gave him their endorsement.
In Fred Thompson's case, the answer is no. That leaves Hunter, and Huckabee.
Thank you, FRiend. All is well here — I hope you and yours are well too, and that your new year is going swimmingly!
What can Hunter or Huckabee - or any President - do Constitutionally to make abortion illegal in Washington?
The Constitution didn’t set up a system for the Feds to over-rule the States or for the President to make law, for pity’s sake! You’ll have to do your own work in Washington, or hope for 3/4 of the other States to do it for you, Constitutionally.
In the meantime, you and your fellow Washingtonians really need to work on that “assisted death” law. The President appointed Attorney General Ashcroft, who tried to use Federal law to restrict the use of controlled substances to cause the intentional death of patients. That didn’t work so well, did it?
On the other hand, the President did not make Partial Birth Abortion illegal in Washington State, but we did get the ban on Partial Birth Abortion. The States elected members of the House and the Senate who passed the bill 3 times, Clinton vetoed it. The fourth time, after the States elected a pro-life but not all powerful President, Bush signed it.
We need a President who will sign the laws that are good and veto the bad ones. But the laws are written by the Legislature. The Legislature comes from the States.
He introduced it in 2003, 2005 and 2007. If and when it is passed, the unborn in all 50 states will be protected, i.e. we will not have 50 different definitions for the beginning of life.
