Bill Clinton Calls On NH to Make 'Independent Judgment' By Fred Lucas CNSNews.com Staff Writer January 04, 2008

Nashua, N.H. (CNSNews.com) - Before introducing his wife at a rally here this morning, former President Bill Clinton was dismissive of the Iowa caucus results, where his wife came in third place, nine points behind Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois, and called on New Hampshire to make an "independent judgment."

"New Hampshire is given the chance to prove you are the first primary," the former president told the cheering crowd. "You have the chance to show you're well known and deeply deserved independent judgment and given the chance to vote for the best presidential candidate I've ever seen."

Sen. Hillary Clinton then made an appeal to New Hampshire voters' ability to shape the presidential race.

"People know as I do that New Hampshire voters are assessing everything in the next five days," she told an enthusiastic crowd of about 100 packed into an airport hangar in Nashua.

"They want a president who is prepared to step into the office after taking the oath," she continued. "They also want someone who can stand up to the Republican attack machine to get elected in the first place."

Clinton, a New York senator, never mentioned the names of her Democratic opponents, Obama and former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina, during her speech. However, she did stress that her experience made her best able to accomplish sweeping change.

She also pledged to withdraw troops from Iraq in a deliberate, responsible matter and to implement universal health care if elected.

She probably doesn’t want VP. Who was the last RAT Party VP to move up to Pres? LBJ and he moved up when....oh wait, the Clinton machine can handle that. Maybe she does want to be a RAT VP.

Voters should be repulsed by the spectacle of an ex-President nakedly campaigning for an unconstitutional third term for himself under the guise of pushing his wife for the job. It’s really no different than Vladimir Putin getting around his term limit problem by having his puppet elected President and then making himself Prime Minister with enhanced powers. I do not want to live in a banana republic run by el Jefe Clinton and Evita. Even the most leftwing Dem should feel the same.

” That lineup on TV last night was a lasting image. Albright looking 120 years old, Hillary looking like she had just been forced to join the NRA, Bill looking a sickly 90, Chelsea looking like she’d been to a beer orgy — the whole image was wonderfully terrible.”

My wife and I had the same impression. Looked to me that Bill/Chelsea can see the ship sinking before their eyes.

Also agree that Bill could have passed for Hill’s grandfather. He sure did look OLD... Only out done by Aunty M Madeline not so bright.....

According to CNN's webpage, Hillary already has 52% of all of the declared delegates. Obama has 20%. She still needs many more, but the point is that she has a commanding lead, and the spin machines and the MSM are trying to make it look like she's an underdog.

This thing is already over. All of this "Hillary is in trouble" nonsense is window-dressing.

I think this is even funnier considering that Bill Clinton lost the NH primary in 1992.

If Hitlery goes down in NH, she’s finished. Best she can hope for is VP.

VP?! Who in his right mind would appoint the Queen of Akancide to be his #2?

He's now a liability......>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

He calls on New Hampshire? WTF?

The time will come when Bill won't be able to even call his own dog home, or his wife either. He calls on New Hampshire? What a laff! Slick is a definite liability. Sent him over on a vacation in Chad,to live with the Hutu, they just love him too! That should keep him out of the way for a while.

Well Bill is a pervert that preys upon lonely rejected females.
Bill is a disgraced expresident and a real turd of a person and still he is much more desirable to hear do a speech then is Mrs. Clinton.

“If Hitlery goes down in NH, she’s finished. Best she can hope for is VP.”

What person in his right mind would want Hillary for VP? Would you ever be able to sleep at night? Would you feel like you had to hire a food-taster?

Now that’s exactly what I was thinking...Obama/HRC...and then there will be a Ron Brown incident and HRC walks in. LBJ did it and he wasn’t quite a ruthless as her Thighness (and THAT’S saying something).

"America loves an underdog," Begala said. "Candidates can show their character in defeat." from http://www.washingtonpost.com

ONE MISTAKE here...

The Clinton's are RICH & Powerful, they are not underdogs!!

Being Black in America is being The Underdog.

Bill and Hillary are so out-of-touch!!

In their gray-haired-minds...the Clintons' have tried to convince America that Bill was the First-Black-President...

Well, Bill and Hillary say "Hello" to Obama!!
