Bill Clinton Calls On NH to Make 'Independent Judgment' By Fred Lucas CNSNews.com Staff Writer January 04, 2008
Nashua, N.H. (CNSNews.com) - Before introducing his wife at a rally here this morning, former President Bill Clinton was dismissive of the Iowa caucus results, where his wife came in third place, nine points behind Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois, and called on New Hampshire to make an "independent judgment."
"New Hampshire is given the chance to prove you are the first primary," the former president told the cheering crowd. "You have the chance to show you're well known and deeply deserved independent judgment and given the chance to vote for the best presidential candidate I've ever seen."
Sen. Hillary Clinton then made an appeal to New Hampshire voters' ability to shape the presidential race.
"People know as I do that New Hampshire voters are assessing everything in the next five days," she told an enthusiastic crowd of about 100 packed into an airport hangar in Nashua.
"They want a president who is prepared to step into the office after taking the oath," she continued. "They also want someone who can stand up to the Republican attack machine to get elected in the first place."
Clinton, a New York senator, never mentioned the names of her Democratic opponents, Obama and former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina, during her speech. However, she did stress that her experience made her best able to accomplish sweeping change.
She also pledged to withdraw troops from Iraq in a deliberate, responsible matter and to implement universal health care if elected.

Please, just make these people go AWAY !
LMAO @ slick.........keep talking slick, keep pushing hillary...........heeeeeeeeheeeeeeeeheeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Has anybody noticed that Hillary is no where to be found. Why isn’t Hillabeast making her points instead of sending Bill out to do it for her?
Why isn’t Hillary working the press? Has anybody else noticed this?
She’s out, having her pantsuit retreaded.
Because she’s still in the middle of her tantrum over finishing 3rd?
You raise a good point. She’s the only candidate I didn’t see explaining stuff on national tv this morning. Maybe I just missed her.
Anyway, my guess is that the more people see her the less they are willing to vote for her.
Hopefully, this is the beginning of the end of the Hildebeast.
And who gets the headline?
That lineup on TV last night was a lasting image. Albright looking 120 years old, Hillary looking like she had just been forced to join the NRA, Bill looking a sickly 90, Chelsea looking like she’d been to a beer orgy — the whole image was wonderfully terrible.
Anybody notice how big and red Slick Willie’s nose was last night?
.
The housekeepers in the White House can make a more experieced sweeping change.
The more the slickster campaigns for Hilly, the more votes go to her opponents.
If Hitlery goes down in NH, she’s finished. Best she can hope for is VP.
“Anybody notice how big and red Slick Willies nose was last night?”
Yep. He looked hammered.
I’d imagine everyone realizes that this isn’t really Hillary’s fault. Her policies are sound. Her delivery is perfect. It’s her staff’s fault. It’s the stupid Iowa voters’ fault. It’s the media’s fault. And yes, it’s even Bill’s fault.
Lock down the lamps, ash trays and other potential missiles within Hillary’s reach. It’s projectile hurling time...
DUCK!
LMAO. Now that’s entertainment!
Then, she can market her second memoirs: “I’d Rather Be Right (Left) Than President”. Of course, this Obama may yet make her seem plausible to the American sheeple.
