I’m from Illinois. I’d rather have Hillary.

Initially I would have agreed with you that he can at least be stomached. Not now. Have you seen him speak lately? When hes not seeming to chide the audience and country hes talking about himself like hes getting measured to be added to Mt. Rushmore.

If Thompson or McCain is the Rep nominee, it will be quite a contrast in ages. Obama could get more young people to vote, which could have an impact in key states.

Yup, I've been thinking the same thing...

Obama’s not ten feet tall. All a general election candidate has to do is reveal his record on the issues. His positions in the Illinois legislature were far left and out of touch. He has said some very stupid things on national security. His book is full of stuff—his distaste for private business and ingratitude toward the white grandparents who largely raised him are two things that come to mind.
Nor does Obama represent “change:” he is a product of the Cook County machine and backed Chicago mayor Daley and Cook County Board president Stroger in the most recent election.

I do pray that what happened tonight in Iowa is an anomaly.

I do pray that more evangelicals will realize that if they vote for someone simply because he is “one of them” — someone who is of the same faith as they are — that someday there will be no room for anyone of faith in America.

One of the things that has made this country so great is because there is freedom and respect for all religions — even no religion.

The separation of church and state makes it possible for all of us to go to the church or synagogue of our choice or no church at all!

The day that we elect someone because they are the “Christian leader” is the day that Christianity begins to lose in America.

Huck told CNN tonight that Barak Hussein Obama did represent “change”, just like him. That he and Obama were going to speak the language of the middle class, put aside partisanship, and mean talk, for the good of the country.

So much for Obama’s being 10 feet tall, evidently Huck thinks so, he wants him on his ticket.

Oh please, all liberals talk of bipartisanship, they are liars, he also said 9/11 cant’ be a campaign issue, pretended that civil rights for blacks happened just last week, and he will save us from oil.

Another conspirazoid liberal member of the UnAmerican Democrat Party.

I tuned them all out for the most part - IMHO, Iowa is way overhyped, and I've really burned out on listening to anyone except the last half hour or so of Brit Hume. Our own primary is way late, well past time to make any difference. I have overheard him in the background occasionally though, and you do have a point. He's sounding more and more like Jesse & friends preaching to the crowd with the intonation of southern preachers. Which is curious considering nobody at Punahou talks like that.

Huck...strong candidate

Just be warned--this cigar smoker will _never_ vote for Huckananny for President.

Never, never.

I don't think he will be the nominee, but if he is this will be the first time I don't vote for a Republican.

There are other smokers out there--and we vote.

Obama has an appeal.

Come on, what the heck is his appeal? Please enlighten me.

Hussein Obama has a very good inspirational "keep hope alive" stump speech. This is what has lots of Dems voting for him.

Un-educated, yes, uses terms like “unbalanced economy” surely hasn’t taken ECON 101, therefore, should be called on all his other ignorant rhetoric too, have him define it. Must be done in debate over Matthews and Blitzer, as you all know they are going to cover for his ignorance, liberalism, ect.

His problems begin when his liberal ideas become highlighted.

The MSM will makes sure his every weakness is obscured, as they did with Huckabee.

Yes, I consider him worse than Edwards or Hillary ...

He is much worse because there is at least a 50/50 chance he will reconvert to Islam once in office. Can you even imagine what that would do?

Listening to all the talking heads tonight, one would assume Iowa represents the entire US, and the entire US wants C H A N G E.

After watching 5 hours of C-Span coverage Thursday night I can only conclude the following--Iowans are retards.

Mrs. Obama is a liability that will begin to be exploited by the Clintons.

Michelle Obama is going to say a few things that will put Hillary's "baking cookies" comment to shame. She is a bitter woman, full of bile, who simply will not be able to contain herself as her husband's prospects improve and her ego swells further.

Most diehard Republicans I know say they could at least stomach seeing Obama on TV for the next 4 years.

Can they stomach a Justice Cornell West?

It doesn’t matter how weak the Democrat, but how strong the Republican. Vote Conservative! Vote Hunter!

Wallace-Wells mentions in Rolling Stone:

There is an amazingly candid moment in Obama’s autobiography when he writes of his childhood discomfort at the way his mother would sexualize African-American men.  "More than once," he recalls, "my mother would point out Harry Belafonte is the best-looking man on the planet."  What the focus groups his advisers conducted revealed was that Obama’s political career now depends, in some measure, upon a tamer version of this same feeling, on the complicated dynamics of how white women respond to a charismatic black man.

Early in his run for the U.S. Senate in 2004, Obama’s pollsters discovered that women loved him, especially nice white ladies who like personalities more than politics and definitely don’t like political arguments.

We should be able to paint him as a far left candidate.

We don't have to paint him as anything other than what he is.

An analysis of "lifetime voting records," shows Obama as the most liberal Democrat in Congress, with a score of 84.3 after two full years in the Senate.  The most liberal score possible was 99.

The study, released in March by the National Journal, a respected inside-the-Beltway research report, places Obama even in front of Dennis Kucinich, with a lifetime score of 79.4.
