Obama’s not ten feet tall. All a general election candidate has to do is reveal his record on the issues. His positions in the Illinois legislature were far left and out of touch. He has said some very stupid things on national security. His book is full of stuff—his distaste for private business and ingratitude toward the white grandparents who largely raised him are two things that come to mind.
Nor does Obama represent “change:” he is a product of the Cook County machine and backed Chicago mayor Daley and Cook County Board president Stroger in the most recent election.
