I for one am excited about Huckabee's leading and probably winning in Iowa! Here's a guy who has made REAL income tax reform a high priority of his candidacy. While some of the other candidates have claimed tax reform as part of their plan, non have been more passionate about the need for it and willing to make it a center-piece of their plan for America as Mike Huckabee. I believe that the average American has recognized in Mike Huckabee, a person of integrity and vision, a man who keeps his word, a man of faith, and therfore, is worthy of their support. He certainly has 100% of mine!
If Huckabee and Obama are the best we can come up with then my country is further down the path to mediocrity than I thought. This is, indeed, a sobering moment for all conservatives. Ronald Reagan is spinning in his grave...
We have a long way to go, and while it was a good night for Huckabee, he has much to prove in NH.
I support Huckabee, but I also have to be realistic.
A one-state victory does not a nomination make.
Only Huckabee himself can make his case, and I only see that happening when he can present himself alongside the others.
I attended my local caucus and the turnout was huge. I’ve been attending since 1976 (early Reagan supporter :) and have never seen so many folks. I’d say there were 400 in attendance. Romney fell flat and Huckabee supporters were there in droves.
If it makes any of you feel any better, my wife did vote for Fred — so it proves we can coexist;-)
His tax reforms were amazing, thats why I’m not in favor of supporting him for president.
Is there a PING list for Hucklebuck supporters? There should be one, really, and real soon! It will be real useful when the rest of us are ready to sing Na Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye!
Finally, a thread wherein I get to make fun of someone’s supporters for a change. ;p
yep...
This is Mike Hackabee:
(snip)
“Huckabee is not presidential material
James Lewis at AmericanThinker.com doesn’t think so. Here’s this little tidbit:
“A lot of people like Huckabee in person, but he looks like a basically angry man to me.
At his pheasant hunting press show he ended up shooting his 20-gauge shotgun over the heads of the onlookers. That’s just lousy firearms safety, as any hunter knows. But Huck wasn’t sorry. He said it was his way of telling Mitt Romney just “don’t get in my way.” The press asked him if he really meant to say that, and he just said it again. He did mean it.
You just don’t do that in a presidential primary. This isn’t High Noon in Dodge City. Blasting your shotgun over the heads of the press looks like an impulsive action, by a man who allows his anger to take over his judgment.
This is the same guy who’s written a book called, “Kids who kill: Confronting Our Culture of Violence.” But he didn’t set a good example by shooting off his shotgun over people’s heads.”

Yeah, but it's a high sales tax, and that makes it okay! Sales taxes are just hunky-dory and the bee's knees, it's only income taxes that are bad! Heck, why stop at a 30% sales taxHuck should push for a 50% national sales tax so that he can fund free Jenny Craig for all America! Whoo, onward to November, Hucksters!
All is fair...
“If Huckabee and Obama are the best we can come up with then my country is further down the path to mediocrity than I thought.”
If those are the nominees, President Michael Bloomberg will start writing his inaugural address.
You may as well vote with the rats because there is no way the Huckster can win the general election.
LOL
Listen to your wife. She’s obviously the brains of the outfit.
Ed Rollins is one vile SOB.
Yea, she’s and the other dem’s are terrified of a Pastor who supports fair-taxation and will nominate pro-life justices to the supreme court.
I’m a defender of Huckabee, not yet a supporter. I want to hear more from him. He’s right on on a couple of my key issues — abortion and faith — but I need to see that he can develop coherent positions on immigration, national security and the budget, which are the next tier for me.
I have become his defender because of the base and mindless attacks from this forum and some of the conservative pundits.

Huckabees a breath of fresh air to me.
What are you breathing? Momma always said be careful what you wish for...in this case be careful...you might get suffocated.
