85% of the votes that flushed Amnesty were from Republican Senators. 80% of the votes for Amnesty were from Democrat Senators.
Might want to keep that in mind before throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Yeah and exit polling confirmed that President Kerry won in 2004. I'm not sure what's objectionable about entry polling here -- they're rough numbers that dovetail with the most recent polling, just confirming the rough picture everyone expected.
