Exactly why is that an ‘unrealistic foreign policy scenario’?

My desired result was to get a real answer from him. I actually appreciated his candor. He asked, “Why would we do that?”

I wish I could get the answer from all of the candidates.

LOL....North Korea test fired nukes because of idiots like Madeleine half-bright.

Since then Bush has actually taken positive steps and neighboring countries are engaged.

“Or when Iranian troops crossed into Iraq and supplied the insurgents with IEDs?”

>>>>>Ummmm killed them!

“Enjoy Paul’s victory today in Iowa.”

Is Ru Paul in double digits yet? LOL

He said that if he knew they planned to use them against us, he would take action. But they know they would be obliterated.

Ayn Rand's "stolen concept." He relies on a pre-existing condition (our ability to obliterate someone) which he himself would have opposed developing in the first place.

Ayn Rand, even as nutty as she could be sometimes, would have kicked his ass.

C’mon Doug. Why didn’t we go after the Iranians who were crossing into Iraq? North Korea when they test-fired those nukes? Both of those countries are part of Bush’s Axis of Evil. So why didn’t we attack them? They’re a danger to our national security too, right?

I was rather proud of the tag line too until I heard of the freeper who uses “Ron Paul put the coo-coo in coco puffs”.

Ron Paul is a blazingly ignorant fool. This is just more proof of it.

You know that such a scenario is highly unlikely to happen, and if Paul would’ve gave an answer that was more of your liking, this story would be moot.

Holy strawman, red herring impossibilities batman!

Bush should have done something about Iranian involvement in Iraq. I’m not defending his foreign policy. Something needed to be done with N. Korea back in the 1990s. It now appears to be too late. WE CANNOT ALLOW IRAN TO BECOME A NUCLEAR POWER. Ron Paul would allow it because he thinks it is none of our business. This is 2008, not 1808. The ocean no longer protects us.

Only four nations are not signatories of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. North Korea, Pakistan, India, and China. As far as I know, like most UN sponsored things, the enforcement mechanism is non-existant. That said there is a hook for legal action by the USA. Violation of a treaty signed by both the USA and Iran. R. Paul would be a dangerous man to have as President.

This just in....photo-shopping and smearing Ru Paul isn’t necessary. Ru Paul slits his own throat just by getting out of bed every morning!

Paul supports a strong national defense...

for Iran, North Korea and any other axis of evil.

this shows how unlikely (perhaps how impossible) it will be for him to get the Republican nomination.

Well, there was that NK ship full of “concrete” that made a port call in Syria. We don’t know the details, but,,,,,

I think so, but it’s a moot point since it was an impossibility.

Any rational sane examination of Paul’s foreign policy more than anything else is what excludes his candidacy.

Hands folded; “They didn’t hit us. It’s none of our business.” It’s absolutely consistent with everything I’ve seen about Ron Paul. He’s still living in that Special Wonderland of Isolationism that only childish magical thinking can sustain. It’s grossly irresponsible.

I think you are correct. Just this year, we heard about NK shipping something (nuclear?) to Syria that Israel promptly destroyed.
