A coalition of leaders on family issues has released a letter warning about what they describe as the deception being assembled around former Massachusetts governor and GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
"Most of us are not allied with any presidential candidate," the letter says. "But we are troubled by the unethical and Orwellian cover-up of Mitt Romney's role in catastrophic events in Massachusetts, once the cradle of American liberty.
"Actions he took as governor were beyond the pale," the letter continued.

The letter cites seven issues seen as problematic in the Romney campaign, including a "phony pro-life 'conversion.'"

A coalition of "family leaders" felt strongly enough about Mitt Romney's record to sign this letter about what they consider to be his "deceptive rhetoric".

I suppose you are for Hucky, who has a Cross in every picture he is in, except the one I saw of him last night in the “triple wide” yeller coat in front of a triple wide trailer film clip on Jay Leno , playing his gittar, breaking a picket line, looking very Clintonesque.

Romney's a fraud, film on YouTube.
Of course, anyone who still believes him at this point would not be convinced if he sprouted devil horns.

Second, according to the letter, "Romney told Catholic Charities' adoption and foster agency they had to give children to homosexuals even when normal mother-father families were lined up to give them a home," the letter said. Combine this with Romney's support for gay scoutmasters. You get a low-life that shouldn't be considered for the Presidency.

You have to believe in Fairy Tales to think that Romney is the real deal. He is the definition of a fraud.

Yeah it is all over now, What the Huck! Hucky wins cause he has a pulpit and uses it ad nauseum, and doesn’t know squat about Foreign affairs, and he has a big fat son who is on Probation for carrying a loaded pistol into an airport in April. YEAH.. it is all over , we might as well go ahead and now claim that OBAMA wins, because Hucky is going to be the nomination for the Republican Party.
To: Servant of the Cross
Mitt’s pro-life, except when he is marching with MLK and hunting or being a resident of Utah or Massachusetts depending upon home state deductions and if he can get an illegal to tend the estate. Other than that he is a Reagan disavowing and not that Reagan is dead, claiming he is the heir to Reagan( Mitt must of saved Reagan after death ). If you don’t understand how this makes Willard the true conservative then you are a defacto Mitt hater. Confess.

You want Fraud..How about Thompson dropping out and supporting McCain
Fred Thompsons departure could shake up the race more than his continued presence. If Thompson exits, he's expected to endorse John McCain. Photo: AP
What does that do to Freepers here who show that only 2.4 percent support McCain...you only have to look into the margin on the left of Free Republican and tilt down to see where McCain stands here. We have taken our strongest conservative candidates and annihilated them here on Free Republic, letting the DOPE FROM HOPE "surge" into the lead, just to be defeated by Democrats in Nov.

"Most of us are not allied with any presidential candidate," the letter says. "But we are troubled by the unethical and Orwellian cover-up of Mitt Romney's role in catastrophic events in Massachusetts, once the cradle of American liberty. What a pack of lies. They are not allied with any candidate, but then attack Mitt, call him "Orwellian"? Did they even read the book?? They are not "family leaders", these lunatics are hypocrites. I have my problems with Mitt's liberal record, and he needs to account for them. My guy is FRed. But it's self-serving rhetoric by these so-called "family leaders" that make me want vomit. This smacks of Huckabee/Clinton politics. I wouldn't be surprised if Huck's fingerprints are on this.

I kind of like it that Hucks fat kid waddled into an airport with an automatic. I’d like him better if he had a greasy bag of fwench fries and a Big Gulp Soda. That’s my kind of American. Eat what you want and carry a Colt.

Actually, no. While the personal faith of a political candidate is important to me in assessing their approach to issues of morality, I don't expect the POTUS to run as a "Christian leader". Additionally, Mr. Huckabee has clearly shown himself not to be ready for prime time as POTUS (his multiple foreign policy gaffes being just one example). IMO, he's an Arkansas liberal, who is pro-life. He also seems to exploit his Christianity more than modeling it.
I do expect the POTUS candidate that I support to be strong on pro-life issues. The endorsement of the NRLC is a strong indication of that which is why I "am for" Fred Dalton Thompson.

ORWELLIAN: An attitude and a policy of control by propaganda, misinformation, denial of truth, and manipulation of the past, including the "unperson" a person whose past existence is expunged from the public record and memory....

I'm afraid your comments are nonsensical. The term Orwellian appears to fit Mitt's propaganda campaign extraordinarily well.

I will vote for Fred Thompson if he is the nomination, I will not vote for Mike Huckabee if he is the nomination, but insulting Romney on Family Values by so called family leaders is not going to help Fred Thompson one way or the other.

The only “family leaders” I recognize around here are my wife and me.

insulting Romney on Family Values by so called family leaders It's an insult to expose Romney's fraudulent campaign and cover-up of his liberalism?
Romney's campaign is the insult -- it's an insult to every right-thinking conservative, thinking he can do a little dance and throw some money around and us stupid hicks will fall in line and vote for this liberal fraud.

"
Behind the empty gestures and deceptive rhetoric, Romney was not pro-life
or a defender of marriage by any stretch of the imagination.
He was a disaster," said O'Gorman, of the board for Massachusetts Citizens for Life.
He said Romney "deceptively" claims to have been awarded
a pro-life award from the group. "The award Romney arranged for himself with the local Pioneer Valley Chapter
was the Mullins Award for Political Leadership, not a pro-life award
and not approved by MCFL's state board of directors," he said.
"We're blowing the whistle to warn voters
