Late-Breaking Surge for Thompson

The latest news from Iowa? According to Zogbys latestand I quote: Sen. Fred Thompson
has seen a late-breaking surge. (Rich notes the same poll below.)
Whats going on here? My guess is that there are whole lot of Iowa Republicans who have about the same attitude that David Limbaugh displayed in his column yesterday:
Fred is the only [candidate] I don't have major reservations about
.I find his lack of "fire in the belly" refreshing. He strikes me as one of the few presidential candidates since Ronald Reagan whose primary motivation is not personal aggrandizement but rather serving and leading the nation in very troubled and dangerous times. I see him as almost being drafted into this project, and his refusal to drool publicly over the prospect of becoming the most powerful man in the world is positively delightful.

The source document is on Mitt's desk right beside his NRA endorsement. Whew! I thought Kinko's was never going to get it delivered in time!

I simply speak the truth. [and you just did it again]
You never say anything even vaguely positive about Fred without wrapping it in a slam. So continue on with the game, but don't think anyone is buying it.

Someone has a different opinion about Fred.
What a concept.

I will continue to slam Fred’s campaign until he turns it around and makes it about national security and his immaculate credentials. I will continue to call everyone involved in his campaign out for being a fool for not. Especially when they’ve watch their candidate tank. It’s time for a new campaign theme, Fred.

Be sure to post the number of winning political campaigns you’ve won on your resume.
Scratch that, be sure to list how many campaigns you’ve ever actually worked in, win or lose.

The only poll I know of for today is the Zogby poll mentioned in the article.
Thompson 8 10 12
McCain 13 12 12
Yes, they are tied for the moment. But if you look at the direction of movement and couple in the swarm of calls to the Thompson HQ today after Limbaugh blasted Huckabee and McCain, I suspect that third is going to be very solid tomorrow.

Is a new Huckles supporter? Probably.
How can you support someone with the flip flopping of late.
Without JF'nK to support on the Dem's side, he had to find another flopping smelly fish to promote.
His name gives a clue, too:
Not much difference between a tossup, upchuck, and Mikey Hackenchuck.

I think the polling is useless, since so many have not made up their minds. Romney or Huckabee at 20 or 30% is meaningless when their percentages are of 50% or fewer of the voters.

"The fact that Fred has not made this the central issue in his campaign is what stands out. The fct that Fred has kept his national security credentials the best kept secret of the entire campaign season is what stands out. It stands out as evidence of the most incompetently run campaign in modern American history. It stands out as how the natural front-runner can sabotage his own campaign so bad that he winds up in last place." Last place? go back to some more delusional thinking, I suppose Ron Paul will win with that kind of logic.

I noted to one”zealous” Fred supporter that he must hate Fred..His alienating comments have not made me change my support of Fred, however..I will not be voting for some of Fred’s unpleasant supporters..just Fred.
