Police are searching for a 50-year-old Lewisville father whose 17- and 18-year-old daughters were found shot to death in an abandoned car Tuesday evening in Irving, police said.

Police suspect Yaser Abdel Said Saidyaser may have shot Sarah Yaser Said, 17 and Amina Yaser Said, 18 and let them for dead inside a car.

A 911 cell phone call, believed to have been made by one of the teens at about 7:30 p.m., alerted police to the shooting, but the caller was unable to tell police where she was and officers were dispatched to the area of O'Connor Road and Riverside Drive, officials said. Officers were unable to locate anyone.

About an hour later, police responded to a call reporting a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot in the 200 block of Las Colinas Boulevard -- about five minutes away from the first location -- where officer found the sisters, officials said.

Yaser Abdel Said was last seen wearing a black turtleneck shirt/sweater, a brown coat and tan pants. Police believe he is armed with a handgun and anyone with information should call 972-721-2518.

How is it possible that a religion of “peace and love” would allow the murder of females for something as arbitrary as the definition of “honor”?

Where do you live?
The government doesn’t have nearly this much ridiculous power in my neighborhood....

Are you sure? I live in Colorado, where do you live? The only one in the list that doesn't affect me is the water heater....

That’s a great Idea!! Wish I could, they only have meeting to review the “code of conduct” which tells us we will be fired for offending anyone....we don’t pay any attention:)

“Abdel Said Saidyaser”

The first thing my politically incorrect mind thought when I read the headline was “I’ll bet someone who shoots his own daughters - in his taxi - is going to have an arabic sounding name...”

Only a Muslim can be so psychotic that his brainwashing is stronger than the millions of years of instinct to protect his own children.

Can also happen with some Hindus.

That they do, and sometimes lazy cops don’t expend the energy. Sometimes you spend a bunch of time looking with no luck and other calls come in that need to be handled. I wouldn’t make a judgement on competency in this instance without more info.

These girls were friends of my son. It is believed (according to one of the girl’s boyfriend) that the father was upset with them dating outside of their religion. The girls actually feared the safety of their boyfriends, but never dreamed their father would harm the girls themselves.

The SWAT team had the house surrounded yesterday. After a few hours they finally threw in tear gas only to find out that no one was in the house. You’d think they would have known that ahead of time. My guess is that the guy is long out of the country by now.

I'm very glad your son and the other boys are safe.

What a sad day and a very twisted mind.

“If it’s a free country, why do I have to get permission from the government to replace my roof, windows, or water heater? Why do I have to have “papers” to travel? Why do I have to have permission from the government to own a pet cat or dog? Why is nearly 70% of the money I make taken from me by the government? Most importantly, why does no one else care about the things I’ve listed???”

I live in Missouri. Over the years, replaced my roof and many of my windows and my water heater - no government involvement. In some counties, if I want to add a room, I’ll have to get a permit; not in other counties. Own many cats, a dog and several horses - no government permission required. No need for papers to travel unless I want to leave the US. Tax rate isn’t quite that high here, either. Guess some places are freer than others

I think you are assuming a little much...

Do you not need a government issued ID to board any public transportation (long distance not city bus), Don’t you need a license to operate a motor vehicle? (isn’t that the normal mode of transportation?) I don’t call walking traveling...

I have to have a license for my cats and maintain their shots to maintain the license....

I have to have a permit to rep[lace the windows in my house, or the roof, and in some jurisdictions the water heater....
