All this surging and unsurging (desurging?) makes the process look pretty dumb.
A nation that has the Federalist Papers and the Lincoln-Douglas debates in its patrimony now gawks at horse races and beauty contests to select the leader of the free world.

StonewallVets and NAMBLA:

Excerpt:
NAMBLA emerged from the tumultuous political atmosphere of the 1970s, particularly from the leftist wing of the Gay Liberation movement which followed the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York City. Although discussion of gay adult-minor sex did take place, gay rights groups immediately following the Stonewall Riot were more concerned with issues of police harassment, nondiscrimination in employment, health care and other areas.

And also, Harry Hay's, the founder of Stonewall and NAMBLA, was affiliated with communism:

Excerpt:
Harry Hay
Pioneer, coalition-builder and radical faerie
A tall and muscular young man, Hay worked as both an extra and ghostwriter in 1930s Hollywood. He developed a passion for theater, and performed on Los Angeles stages with Anthony Quinn in the 1930s, and with Will Geer, who became his lover. Geer (who later generations grew to love as Grandpa Walton on the TV series The Waltons), took Hay to the San Francisco General Strike of 1934, and indoctrinated him into the American Communist Party. Hay became an active trade unionist. A blend of Marxist analysis and stagecraft strongly influenced his later gay organizing.
Despite a decade of gay life, in 1938 Hay married the late Anita Platky, also a Communist Party member. The couple were stalwarts of the Los Angeles Left.

Save your screeds for the religion forum. This is a political forum. You have been reported.
I like Romney...I also like McCain....I could like Fred, but he needs to do something to inspire me
Who is YOUR candidate? Oh, and this kind of scurrilous crap you just posted is the worst kind of yellow journalism, as has probably been pointed out to you many times.
This doesn’t exactly give me the warm & fuzzies, especially since Romney threatened to impose his health care scheme on all of us if elected (ref: DesMoines Register-sponsored debate).
Everything I posted is hard sourced.
I imagine he was ahead all this time..but the MSM wanted to push their choice candidates....Huckabee and McCain because they are afraid of Romney. Since the Iowa caucuses are closely approaching they don’t want to lose their credibility so they post legitimate poll numbers
“Again, if the polls are still tight by Friday, as they say in baseball, tie goes to the runner.”
I’m not convinced Romney winning by a point or two would give him much of a ‘bounce’ coming out of Iowa. On the other hand, if McCain should somehow pull out a strong 3rd place showing, that would give him the momentum going into New Hampshire.
A very exciting race. It could be the ultimate nominee is not in the race yet.
Baloney. You are trying to associate Romney with Child Molesters. You are a disgrace to conservativism.
I’m not trying, the Log Cabins ARE associated with StonewallVets.
There is no evidence the MSM ever wanted Huckabee. Huckabee’s rise is due to evangalical Christians who assumed (incorrectly) that because he is a minister, he is conservative. They are only now starting to realize he is to the Left of McCain.
I’m sick of all the hot air already and it isn’t even 2008 yet! We’ve got 10 more months of this to go. Is it me or does it feel like this campaign has been lasting forever already? There’s the barrage of conflicting polls too, that never seems to end. After hearing endlessly from these candidates I think some people are going to wish President Bush could run again.
OK enough ranting for now.
