I will say NO to Romney in the General Election, too, if he gets the nomination...and there is a credible Conservative alternative on enough state ballots. No amount of rationalizing it later can make me come around to support a RINO this time out of fear of the Lib Dem.
Will you join me?

I’ve always been one to oppose such moves, although I must say Romney is scary .
I think Romney is most likely to replicate the Klinton style of Governance , which I once though impossible .
I have not yet decided to sit it out , but am entertaining the idea for the first time ever .

I've NEVER thought of a third party vote in the past and my old profile page will certainly verify that if you look. In this case if Mitt or Rudy or Huck are the nominee then I will vote third party. I refuse to vote for liberals.

and there is a credible Conservative alternative on enough state ballots That's the trick. Romney, Rudy, or McCain get the nomination this might be the first election since I turned 18 that I won't vote in.

You didn't ask me but here is my take - I am done voting "against". Either I vote "for" or I leave that slot blank. For all those who disagree and want to tout the "your non vote will help the other side", I won't even attempt to out argue you. It would be fruitless.
I have simply come to the point in my life that I am done supporting a party just because they aren't the "other party".
And that is my choice to make, just as others have the right to their choices.
Pragmatism has taken all principle from the plate. And the foul after taste of pragmatism has destroyed my palate.

No amount of rationalizing it later can make me come around to support a RINO this time out of fear of the Lib Dem. Will you join me?Yes, I decided several weeks ago that I couldn't vote for Romney even in the general. All the word parsing around the MLK claim was the very last straw for me. Since then, his politically correct statements that Pakinstanis are victims, not terrorists have just solidified my conviction (it stunk of "Islam is the religion of peace" rhetoric).
I wouldn't sit it out, though. I would go to the polls and vote for GOP congress critters, and will lodge a third-party protest vote for president.
We'll see -- this whole discussion might be moot. So far the guy hasn't been able to convince even 1 in 3 Iowans, despite running basically unopposed for months and outspending other candidates 20-1. Pretty weak.

Nope. I will vote for Satan himself over Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, or Barrack Hussein Obama.
