Again, Chris Plante is OFF on this Sunday -- Gads! -- and Jerry Klein is taking over his hour from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Jerry will be on his own from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Jerry is the "pet liberal" at WMAL, the conservative-leaning news talk radio station in Washington, DC.
Today he started the 2:00 p.m. hour with the news that a Giuliani staffer in NH stated that "Muslims should all go back to their caves" [paraphrasing], for which he was fired. Jerry asks if we (the listening audience) think that Muslims nowadays are more like Bhutto or like the man who killed her.

Gee, will CAIR now demand that Jerry Klein be fired? Will they try to find out the identity of the caller so that they can sue him?

I doubt that CAIR will demand that Jerry be ‘fired’... he’s quite supportive of their cause... as far as the caller, he had a few good points to make... I was half-listening to the show, given that I was watching an NFL game at the time... you must listen to the show when it gets posted ‘on demand’ to judge for yourself to the whole back-and-forth...
So have Hindus. It appears to be endemic in that part of the world.
No, most certainly not, but maybe we should all contact them (repeatedly if necessary) demanding that they do somethign about it -- and post this comment on other boards around the net, wondering whay CAIR isn't acting.
Ifnothing else, it will embarrass tehm and perhaps help Dr. Savage in his lawsuit against them (whcih now links them to 9/11 and includes RICO charges against them.)
There was nothing said about CAIR in the 2-minute comment between the caller and Jerry Klein that would warrant taking any action. In fact, CAIR wasn’t even mentioned. It was a dialogue between host and caller that was more to state facts than anything else. Wait until the show gets posted ‘on demand’ and you’ll see. No need to get all bent out of shape over this.

You are so right. I can deal with liberals; I just can't deal with Jerry's nasty whine. Why does this clown get airtime? If they must have a liberal on, why not find one who isn't so grating?
It was noted in the original post that Klein asked if most Muslims are liek Bhutto or like her killers? This could well be interpreted as suggesting that all Muslims are violent, intolerant, 7th-century terrorist barbarians, and that would certainly merit CAIR's attention -- even though CAIR is itself a terrorist front organization.
But the fact that Jerry himself is always going against what Chris Plante says (specifically when Chris calls these Muslim terrorists ‘pit-dwelling, blood-soaked, sharp-toothed, murder monkeys and troglodytes from Hell’), and the fact that Chris also takes Muslim organizations and CAIR to task for not coming to the defense of the US, in addition to the fact that Jerry supports and/or has a completely different view of Islam than Chris does would lead me to believe that CAIR has a friend in a person like Jerry Klein.
The fact that he was asking the audience to compare Muslims to Bhutto or to her killer is his right as a radio host to bring that up, as wrong and as asinine as it might be... plus, Ibrahim Hooper and the CAIR people love Jerry.

This is typical fair for liberals; Jerry draws out a few whack jobs from the audience and now he can tar the entire WMAL audience with the same stick.
I’m don’t blame Jerry. He’s a left-wing hack that doesn’t know any better. I blame WMAL’s management for keeping him on the air.
I think I’m going to have to completely tune out WMAL, again.
Of course, the real point is simply to embarrass and discredit CAIR anyway, so this is an opportunity. Let’s show them for the unprincipled, pro-terrorist hypocrites that they are.
I don’t think that a lone voice like Jerry’s at WMAL will make much of a dent in society. He’s merely going about this issue because Chris Plante has been off for nearly a week and a half — Good Lord we need him back NOW!!! — and so Jerry does not have someone on-air to tell him that he’s wrong. In fact, I would love and encourage WMAL to continue to keep Jerry’s show on the air so that way we can get both perspectives and we can all see who’s on the wrong side of the issue (Jerry) and who’s on the right side of the issue (Chris).

As with so many things from the left Komrade Klien’s shtick is disingenuous. It’s not honest discourse and it isn’t offered in “good faith” and in the interest of open debate. It’s a rhetorical shell game. If someone on the right tried a stunt like this I’d be just as annoyed.
If he’s the “lone voice” of radical lefties on 630 he is clearly the only voice who’s program has been featured on a TV news piece. Seems kind of convenient that the news team was right there in the studio during this segment. Don’t cha think?! Almost coincidental.
Yeah, I blame WMAL for giving this idiot a microphone and for letting him bait the callers. It’s their fault. Heavens knows if he were a conservative he would probably get sacked for the same schtick. If they want to do fairness and prop up a lefty to do his bit I’m fine with that. I like the idea of having a point/counter-point. There are better - more intellectually honest - people from the left that can do this. MAL should dump their pet lib.
