I would like nothing better than to have a rock-ribbed conservative candidate, Reagan-like and affable, that the entire Republican Party could coalesce around>
But by your own link postings, Hunter won the debate on Dec. 12 ....
If he was gonna jump in the polls, it woulda happened by now.
Believe me, I'm not happy about or celebrating Hunters failure to spark a lot of interest ... just stating facts.
I like the man, immensely.
Ah, they don’t let you use anything sharp there, eh?
Standing up may help.
I await your posting of a bunny with pancake makeup on.
Traction comes from support.
I’m waiting for conservatives to wake up and stop being manipulated by the same media we don’t trust to report the war accurately.
You could have a long wait. I used to think that being a conservative was about making logical choices. Seems I was wrong as many conservatives make their choices very emotionally. This election mostly out of fear. Fear of Hillary, fear of losing, fear of the unknown, etc.
Or......maybe they are not all conservatives.
I agree. It seems too many have allowed themselves to be swayed by what they are told, instead of researching for themselves.
If someone just doesn’t like Hunter’s platform, that is one thing. But, for so many to say how much they like him and agree with him, but refuse to support him, just boggles my mind.
Maybe it isn’t only the media and the left who fears another in the mold of Reagan winning the office.
You are right, it probably would have happened by now. The next polls are no longer pre-season games, so my hope is that his bump is well timed for Iowa. There is some evidence for it, with Fred hinting that he’ll drop out if he doesn’t come in 2nd place and that he doesn’t like campaigning for president. No one remembers pre-season results, so the real game is upon us and my hope is that Iowans really do value what they say they do: Authenticity.
The ignorant people in this town never cease to amaze me. An acquaintance called me the other day to say that she is voting for a woman this time!!!!!!! She liked Bill, and the economy (stockmarket) was so much better under him.
Enough to gag a maggot ....
How silly your acquaintance is to vote for a candidate because she is a woman. And there are too many woman like her. No wonder we get so many nutty politicians winning elections.
And let’s not forget that Howard Dean was considered a “done deal” in Dec. ‘03, and Kerry was only 4% only 3 weeks before the primaries, so anything can happen.
btw, I called a talk show, especially appealing to the early primary states, because I feel if Hunter does well in any of those, his support will snowball.
If interested, I wrote about my call in post #37 here:

I needed a canvassing office at which to meet up with fellow Duncaners, do phone-bank calling, assemble and distribute lawn-signs, car-pool or caravan for sign-holding at intersections, neighborhood lit-drops/canvassing, offer bumper-stickers for cars, invite people to rallys, etc.
Without that, it doesn't really seem to be a campaign.
Our homes are our canvassing office. We meet online for info.
