French physicist calls Al Gore a 'crook' over global warming issues

Al Gore is taking a beating in France, where people long resisted the green message and the nuclear industry thrives for home energy.

Bloomberg's Jorg von Uthmann reports that the Paris bookstores are filled with tomes debunking the Gore message despite him winning the Nobel Peace Prize.

France's number one Gore debunker is physicist Claude Allegre, a former education minister and a physicist by profession. Uthmann reports that his new book, ``Ma Verite Sur la Planete'' - My Truth About the Planet'' - lays it out.

Gore is called a "crook" presiding over an eco-business that pumps out cash.

The Greenhouse Effect is a fraud too according to data from atmospheric temperature surveys.

The infamous Love canal dump was owned and used by Allied Electro-Chemical during World War II.

It was clay-lined and ahead of it’s time. It met all the environmental standards required in 1979, 35 years after it was sealed. Allied Chemical (the new name) sold it to the Niagara Falls Board of Education under threat of eminent domain for $1.00. Allied added a codicil to the deed of transfer prohibiting the land from ever being developed, and assigning all liability for any for consequences of leaks to the Niagara Falls Board of Education. It was to be used strictly as an athletic field.

You can see where this is going. The board of ed. dug a pit across the field for a drainage pipe, breaching the integrity of the clay liner. This resulted in the dreaded chemical hydrogen-dioxide - no wait, it was the dreaded chemical dioxin - leaking into Love canal. [Dioxin is hardly more toxic than hydrogen-dioxide, but facts count for little in the environmental “debate”, cf. “Global Warming”.]

Quicker than you can say the magic words “joint and several” and “sovereign immunity” Allied Chemical was on the hook for the whole (media and activist generated) ambulance-chaser feeding frenzy.

The Parisians were quite pro-America (to me at least) when I vacationed there in 2005.

Now, if Al could convert the Sahara Desert in Africa into something like the Amazon basin, that would be a remarkable feat, and probably would do something toward taking advantage of global warming, creating a win-win situation for everybody. Don’t just bemoan desertification. Take active steps to REVERSE it.

The Sahara is shrinking by itself. Been happening for a number of years now.

The only reason Global Warming survives as a theory is because it is so profitable for people to pretend to believe it. As soon as the sanctions and penalties come into play, it will become much more profitable to debunk it, and the whole house of cards will collapse.

Allegre is a world-famous geochemist who used to lecture at Caltech, according to my husband, also a Caltech grad in geochemistry. Way to go, Dr. Allegre.

Did you ever notice that while Al Gore was in the Senate and Vice President he was usually portrayed as a bit of a boob?

Then after he got beat by Bush in 2000 he magically became one of the most respected “intellectuals” in the world?

EXACTLY like Jimmy Carter. After Ronnie blew his ass away in the election, Carter fell into nothing land. He went away. Only after he got mixed up in the fraud election crap around the 3d world, did the MSM start paying him any attention again. Then when he bad mouthed both Bush's over seas, then they put their arms around the old socialist and loved him again. They hated him for losing to Reagan, but started loving him again for his socialism. I hate to admit he is a southerner like I am, but then again, I am a true southerner and he is a Marxist southerner. Big difference.

Al Gore: Expert or Fraud?
October 22nd, 2007 by Oh

Noel Sheppard reminded us of what has been around since 2000 but ignored by the liberal media.

Al Gore has no qualifications in science, physics, chemistry, meteorology or climatology to claim expert status on climate change.

In fact, Gore is not a studious and learned expert on much of anything other than leading a bunch of socialists to control the lives of others under the mistaken belief that mankind is destroying the planet.

To be a scientific scholar and expert on something as complex and diverse as climatology, one requires extensive education and research on the subject.

To attain credibility as a scientific expert not only requires multiple degrees in the sciences involved, but a scientific aptitude in order to grasp the intricacies of the subject matter.

Mr. Sheppard’s article (10/17/07) examined the qualifications of our Nobel Laureate for scientific global climate change. (How the “climate change” qualifies as “peace” is beyond me.)

Regardless, Gore’s college board achievement test score for science was a 488 out of 800. That’s awful. His Chemistry score was 519, damn near as bad. He got a D in Natural Sciences, (man’s place in the world,) as a sophomore and a C- in Natural Science as a senior.

Nor were his other grades indicative of studiousness attributed to him as the one the Swedes think will save the world. Al’s splendorous academic credentials include a C- in introductory economics, a D in one science course and C- in another, FIVE Fs in five of the eight courses he took at divinity school. And he couldn’t complete Vanderbilt’s Law School.

This is the intellectual giant the liberals hold out as the savior of the planet. It is he on whom they will rely to champion the unproven myth about man made global warming as the excuse to tax and regulate us into a socialistic nation.

His movie has been discredited and debunked by scientists and courts alike. His movie exaggerates and falsifies much of what it claims as fact. But as with Harry Reid, the lies persist even in the face of overwhelming proof to the contrary.

Gore is a liar, (inventor of the internet,) a fraud, (absolutely no academic or scientific qualifications to support anything he says about climate change) and a socialist, (using inaccurate theories as scare tactics for galloping socialism.) Believe it, Gore doesn’t give a damn about the climate, it’s a political ploy, pure and simple.

Will Gore run for President? No way. He can’t (hence won’t) face serious debate now. If put to the real test as a candidate, he would be hopelessly exposed for the fraudulent rube he is.

He would also have to justify the millions he makes from his company that sells those phony carbon credits to hypocrite limousine liberals. Unfortunately, there are so many ignorant liberals and just plain ignoramuses out there, including the Nobel Prize fools, that he has attained a celeb status based on pure poppycock. But a scholar, on the subject he claims expertise, he ain’t. He’s a dunce in a professorial costume.

Sorry if I offended you, my comment was not meant in that fashion. Just a very generalized comment on recent history.

Most excellent post sir. Algore was raised in DC, going to St. Albans if I remember correctly and raised so that he would one day be king.

I can only add to your excellent catalog of sins venal and mortal of things Gore, the fact that I used to live in Bowling Green, Kentucky, just up I-65 from Nashville and the folks there (who tend to have long memories and tend to remember the sins of the father - they’ll say things like “Oh, he’s a Raymer, or a whatever as if that is all one needs to know about a person) remember Gore senior as a crook and a cheat and an all round person worthy of contempt.

I also seem to remember, in addition to the Occidental/Love Canal environmental sin, was something about a Zinc (or was it Nickel) mine I think it was in Tennessee that left spoilings all over and contaminated water thereby.

And then there was the matter of tobacco and the landlord incident where the gore’s tenants were found to be living in inhuman conditions.

These people are shameless frauds and shysters as you’re brief trip down memory lane so clearly illustrates.

I didn’t take offense, it’s just that France is something like Massachusetts. About one third of the people are level headed and going against the dominant narrative. I do not consider myself in the least (okay, a teeny part) French. (I have an odd last name in that the words are French, but the spacing and capitalization are Dutch, in accord with the records in the 1645 Neiu Amsterdam census.)

It's just that voices of reason have been coming out of France (e.g., nuclear power) for the last three decades, but they don't make it through the filter and gatekeepers of the LSM.

France is indeed a land of contradictions as a book I’m reading now (Fragile Glory) illustrates pretty well.

As someone who has recently been there and keeps up with French newspapers and TV I can say that in answer to some posters, that the French almost unanimously disagree with our Iraq policy, and also almost unanimously buy into most of the green stuff.

The first is to answer the poster who wondered if the “recent unpleasantness” between France the the US was merely a US media creation. No it wasn’t. When you tell someone in France that you supported the invasion of Iraq they look at you like you’ve got three heads. They don’t attack you but they certainly don’t understand it.

As far as the enviro-consciousness of the French - some of it is motivated I’m sure by the importance of Paris in the French mindset - this is a city that has to come to terms with the fact of life that it is a dense urban landscape that has to rely on mass transportation more than many places in the US.

Some of it, as has been pointed out, fits in nicely with their status as early and enthusiastic adoption of nuclear energy.

Some of it probably has to do with their lack of oil resources in their “empire”.

But the notion of “emissions des gaz à effet de serre” and “l’échauffement global” is everywhere, and I do mean everywhere in the French media.

I’m sure this dude Allegre will encounter more than his share of opposition.

“Don’t read too much into this. The French disagree with everyone just on principle. Al Gore could have said the sky is blue and they’d say “non”.”

By principle, I disagree with your statement. And the sky has been grey-white over my neck of the woods lately, so I have scientific evidence to back it up.
