Pawlenty, Steger to join forces for climate change forum

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and polar explorer Will Steger will host a forum on climate change in Ely next Friday.

The two-hour January 4 community forum will explore, "the impact of climate change in Minnesota and opportunities for solutions." Earlier this month, Pawlenty floated the idea of joining Steger for a period during the explorer's 2008 expedition to the Canadian Arctic. The governor has not yet committed to that trip.

I’m willing to forgive a certain level of populism, which Pawlenty certainly has his share of. But the global warming thing is just goofy.

I would think the impact of climate change/”global warming” in Minnesota would be to make the state actually livable by human beings for a few more weeks a year, wouldn’t it?

I think it is fair to say that there are two types of people in the world...

1) The FR types who when this whole Globull Warming Scam blows over will say, "See, I told you so. I was right all along. I am vindicated."
2) And the Al Gore type who counts his piles of cash from the Globull Warming Scam as he heads off to his next scam...

Global Pole Changing. My understanding is the Earth switches magnetic polarization every so often. I'm pretty sure we'd better stop it. It certainly can't be a natural thing.

I can only assume this, since it hasn't happened before in my lifetime.

Global warming is an unproven hypothesis based on computer based mathematical models that no one knows are accurate. Heck they won't measure the current level of global warming today with satellites, because it would diverge from what the models predict. Don't you think it strange that we have the technology to confirm the CO2 based global warming hypothesis and we don't?

Let's say for argument's sake that the UN was wrong and the amount of temperature change over the last 100 years was double what was thought. How many news readers would be running around with their hair on fire spreading the news that "we are all going to surly die" unless of course we pay huge confiscatory taxes to the UN --- Hey I never did get the taxes part, so don't look at me for help.

Now let's say that it is being proved that the temperature that the UN says the Earth has increased by has been overestimated by a factor of 2. How many news readers will be running around with their hair on fire relaying that word ... Hey I know the answer, but you can always hope. Stay tuned, because like with the sea rise being a fake, the temperature rise may soon meet the same fate.

Has anyone actually looked at how they compile the temperature of the Earth, from all those USHCN stations? You might be stunned at what you found.

Anybody read the book "Fallen Angles" -- Jerry Pournelle was one of the authors. Science fiction about the world 50 years into the future when the glowbull warming beliefs were put into practice. Written in 1991 ... worth the read. I think it's online in free book form.
