ModernConservative.com has received a tip from a reliable source that may have election-shattering implications.
According to our source, an activist here in Arizona has been approached by the Ron Paul campaign; the campaign has requested that he run the Arizona effort to get Ron Paul on the general election ballot as a candidate of the Constitution Party.
Our source has requested anonymity, and we have agreed. We can, however, vouch for his/her general reliability. Our source also provided us with details that added credibility to the account. (Unfortunately, disclosure of those details would put at risk our promise of anonymity. We apologize for the unnamed sourcing and lack of further details, but those were the requirements that accompanied this revelation.)
We will keep you apprised of any new developments.
There has been a lot of analysis on the impact that Ron Paul has already had, and on the impact that he might...

Can you imagine being in charge of Ron Paul’s Secret service protection, knowing that neo-Nazis make a habit of showing up to his rallies? I’d be lying awake at night, these people are nuts.
I told you I read it.
are there a lot of neo-nazi latent homosexual voters?
Read what? As of post 222, I hadn't posted anything to you. When you posted in 222 that the government was building detention camps and refusing to tell Americans why they had done so, where had you gotten that information?
However, the foreign policy views which he holds and expresses are infinitely foolish. It does not take a nuclear physicist to figure out that Al Qaeda and the Taliban did not favor Bhutto's candidacy. I am not sure what to think about her assassination. I certainly recognize the interest of Pervez Musharaff in not wanting to face her in an election in which she was leading in the polls. I don't particularly trust Musharaff. I did not really trust her.
I do think that the Taliban and Al Qaeda have the strongest motives, particularly if she was actually claiming that a victory in the election would allow her to force a real hunt for ObL and his terrorist friends in Pakistan.
I cannot imagine trusting paleoPaulie to be in charge of the USA while Pakistan's stability and nuclear weapons are in play. One of Bush's less noticed and greatest accomplishments is prying India off their long time strategic dependence on the Russkis That won't last if the Pakistani government and nukes wind up controlled by the Islamofascist nutcases who might want an above-ground nuclear weapons test in Delhi and or Calcutta. The problem with those who, like paleoPaulie, are forever bleating "Peace, peace", even with good intentions is that their spineless policies result in wars otherwise unnecessary. Our enemies, like sharks, smell blood in the water and attack the weak and spineless. Kumbaya is not a dependable policy. Neither is general free trade.
As I told you I read it. Get over it.
Any idea where?
Thanks for pings Dave, been very busy!

Bumperoo!
That's been my suspicion, too.
The question is cui bono if Ron Paul runs, and clearly the Rats will benefit. Despite Bush's poor polling I think the election is still the Republicans' to lose, unless they nominate the Huckster, and I agree that the Soros/Move On crowd would like nothing better than to field a third party sock puppet to draw votes away from the GOP nominee, much as Nader pulled votes away from the RAT nominee in 2000 and 2004.
