Rumor circulating on the Fred08 blog that there is going to be a major "surprise" announcement coming this morning.
Perhaps an NRA endorsement or a major political figure?

Both my grandfathers were in the military; my father was in the military; my nephew is in the military and I served 5 years with the 82nd. I know plenty of people in the military and plenty of them act like a-holes from time to time.
Let me see if I follow your theory. Somebody throws up a post on a message board that you find rude and this causes you to question their military background (your theory being that the military people you know don’t act like a-holes therefore if someone acts like an a-hole they couldn’t have served.)
My theory is that this is just a slimy variation on your modus operandi of insinuating that anyone who criticizes Mitt is a bigot.

Thread originator heard a rumor of an announcement from the Thompson campaign. Turned out only to be the announcement of a fund drive for $200,000 to run a Thompson ad all over Iowa. See it at fred08.com [the red pickup]

And from what I’ve read, you’re doing more than laughing.

You know, I really have to disagree about this notion that Huckabee is a social conservative. He is a pro-life Christian, but advocating nanny-state policies (health, education etc) is certainly NOT social conservatism as it is the antithesis to self-determination and liberty- required for freedom of religion and a moral society. Nanny-state policies and the accompanying big government are inexorably linked to secularism and socialism.
