The Pritzkers’ subprime lending business, Superior Bank FSB, went belly up in 2001. I wouldn’t be surprised to find that the family has more losses this year due to the state of subprime lending. Warren has some cash to cover the losses while he cherry-picks the industrial businesses.
Buffet was shorting the dollar a few years ago. This must mean he thinks the dollar has fallen as far as it’s going to and that it’s time to invest in the U.S.
I agree with him, however, my investments will be slightly lower.
We run about 2000 of these. 1/3 are UTLX.

Damn crazy, but it happens all the time.
Fact is it probably all comes back to Buffet's mother somehow. Seventy some odd years ago she managed to forget to powder Warren's butt in a timely manner one time and now, in 2008, the Sage of Omaha is working to elect the Heifer of Lttle Rock to the presidency.
Warren’s father Howard was a great libertarian congressman from Nebraska. He was, in many ways, the Ron Paul of his time, albeit only serving four terms and not embarking on a loopy Presidential campaign.
That I did not know.
He is volunteering to give away billions, along with Gates. Whay these two are socialists, I will never understand. Imagine what they could do if they dedicated their resources to educate Americans on the power of capitalism.

This doesn’t surprise me. The Democrats have become the party of the wealthy.
