My conclusion after looking into this and other matters is that Romney habitually violated any pro-life and pro-family beliefs he may have had in order to “get along to go along” in Massachusetts. Then, if pressed, he would blame it on someone else. “The Democrats made me do it.” “The Mass. Supreme Court made me do it.” “Other people twisted my mandatory government-dictated health plan.” And so forth.

Huckabee, in contrast, did it for the money. He is clearly a corrupt, hypocritical, money-grubbing pig of a politician. Whether that’s better or worse than doing it for popularity and political convenience, I leave it to others to decide.

Since two of Mitt’s most ardent supporters, JCEccles
and Tompster76, have been zotted today, in the interest of fairness, I would like to present this simulated response:

“Blah, blah, blah, 3 percent, blah, blah, Fred sucks, blah, blah, Mitt is a beautiful man, yada, yada, yada...”

You may now carry on exploring the truth behind the legend...

Hopefully, the voters in Iowa will choose neither. They have a third option, one that is reliable, principled and conservative, Fred Thompson.

I have great faith that the Iowa GOP caucus voters are paying attention to this. They are very conservative. and I do not believe they will be going out en masse on a cold night to spend three hours caucusing for liberals. It is counterintuitive. that said, I am glad the polls are what they are now. Fred’s big day is going to be even bigger in light of push polls like ARG.

Well you know what I have said all along, the lower Fred’s polls the better I feel.

If he was really at 3% I would expect him to win the damn thing outright.

I am allowing this thread to develop. I don’t want to be caught later to find out that there’s not more to this story about Huckabee than what’s reported here. Was he aware of who was giving him the money? Why did they give him the money?

This post is a dishonest attempt at a smear.

Taxpayers fund the insurance premiums, not the insurance copays.

It’d be like saying *you* personally fund abortions because you pay an insurance premium every month to an insurance company that covers abortions.

Taxpayers don’t fund the abortions either under Romney’s health care plan.

Exactly.
Not being in Iowa , I wonder how Fred’s ground game is there . I hope he is running ads and mailouts , as those can make quite a difference .

If the government forces you to buy insurance on your body.....the insurance company become part of the government and would need to conform to the constitution

Here , I pulled this up just for you, and it’s from the Dims.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFMdK0TWtks&feature=related

We now know what they are going to use against Romney in the unfortunate instance he wins the nomination .

Do we really want this flip-flopper representing us ?
The Dims will shred him and / or we will be sold out to Romney’s true beliefs ....

Actually, there is more to this. I'm publishing a story tonight on this subject, which, when it goes up, I will repost here. It doesn't address the money issue directly - someone else will have to do that. But, it does address Huckabee's egregious position vis a vis stem cells.

To help you out, I will play the role of the recently Zotted Tompster76.

(Think of it as being a man or two down in a flag football game and the other team loans you a player...)

“Yeah, you stupid 3 perceters loving that CFR freak idiot Fred Thompson instead of that beautiful Mitt Romney. When is Fred going to drop out anyways? Mitt is the real Conservative you know. He says so, just listen to him, don’t look at his record it may distract you from how Conservative Mitt really is, I promise. You are a bunch of 3 percenter idiots on Free Republic, where is Fred, at like -300%...”

How did I do? I want to help. I really do. It is only fair....
