Soylent Green was the first movie I ever saw. I saw it at the Natick Drive In, which is no longer there. I was six at the time, and the film kept breaking apart more than once near the end of the movie, so we and just about everyone else there left without seeing the ending even though it was already obvious to everyone there that Soylent Green is people.

Soylent Green, from the book “Make Room! Make Room!” written by Harry Harrison. You should give it a read.

I didn’t see soylent green until about 1980. All this time I thought it was a made-for-tv-movie. I was wondering why there were so many people here on FR referencing a silly made-for-tv-movie that aired 25 years ago.

The first movie I ever saw at a movie theater was benji.

Soylent Green was based on Harry Harrison’s “Make Room, Make Room”.

Much better than the movie.
