Jerry Klein is the Pet Liberal host of 630 WMAL, the conservative-leaning radio news talk radio station in Washington, D.C. During his Sunday show (yesterday) Jerry, who is also Jewish, narrated the story about how it came about that he does not accept poinsettias (as gifts or otherwise) during the holiday season. The story on how this happened starts years ago, when Jerry and his wife moved to a new neighborhood. The management of his new residence gave every resident a poinsettia as a gift, and Jerry, in so many words, accepted the gift but let management know indirectly somehow that he does not accept poinsettias because hes Jewish. Ever since then, in subsequent years, management has not given any resident of the complex any poinsettia. So, we can say that Jerry, with his political correctness in all its glory, ruined it for everyone.
Heres Jerry narrating the poinsettia story with his residential complex management and also how poinsettias became associated with the Christmas holiday:

Heres my call to the show, in reply to his story:

We solved the problem of the Pro Abort owners by buying gorgeous imitation poinsettias—a lot of them. They are so real looking, you actually want to go up and smell them. They are trotted out each year from under plastic covers in the attic and decorate the house for Christmas.
Gorgeous!
Happy Christmas!
Frank
Hey Jerry. From one Jew to another. You’re an IDIOT!
Hey Jerry, Merry CHRISTmas to you.
John 14:6.
See ya.
During my reply (minute 23:07) I reminded Jerry that I, a Catholic, sent him and his program director at the radio station a Christmas photocard of my family that had a drawing of a cross in it surrounded by poinsettia branches and it stated “Feliz Navidad” and whether or not he took offense to that.
He said that that was fine because he knew I had sent those cards to a lot of different people. How different would it be that management sends poinsettias to different people in his residential complex? What would be the difference between me sending Feliz Navidad photocards to 60 people and someone giving 60 residential units poinsettias?
Time for a link to the story of the Evil Genius behind the promotion
of what Jerry Klein apparently thinks is a “non-kosher” plant.
(Of course, the Evil Genius is one of those D-mned Southerners,
so he was obviously running a Christian Fundamentalist Slave-Holder
plot with those poinsettias!)
(yes, I am being facetious)

I don’t accept poinsettias either. They are toxic to domestic livestock, which is what I’m equipped with.
Hi Silvie, Merry Christmas!!!!
“My tuna doesen’t taste like it used to!!!”
According to the POISINDEX information source - the primary resource used by the majority of poison control centers nationwide - a child who weighed 50 lbs. would have to eat over 500 poinsettia leaves to reach an even potentially toxic dose of compounds in the poinsettia plant.
You too Cheapy! Have a great, great Christmas!!!
“ALL plants in this genus contain a milky sap that can be anywhere from “irritating” to very poisonous.”
Just keep Miss Puerto Rico away from that irritant!!!
When the manager stopped the practice of giving the flowersd as a gift, the manager was kowtowing to the whiners. Just as a school district or city to the ACLU.
i assidously pick up the dead leaves and have most of the poinsettia plants in the dining and living rooms, which are babygated off from the pups, but at most they have gotten the trots from munching a fallen leaf.
Find his address and have everyone in DC/MD/VA send him a red and white one.
True, but in addition to this, they are also not constrained by some of the rules of government, that is, they might not necessarily be bound by the same rules restricting the "imposition of religion" by which government might otherwise be bound.
I can’t see why Jerry is upset, after all, they’re “Red” just like “liberals”...
I went into Borders to get a Christmas gift card and the gift cards had the following options: Happy Holidays, Happy Hannukah, or Feliz Navidad.
Merry Christmas in the english language was just too much for Borders Bookstore to bear apparently.
