It’s New Year’s Eve a few years back: candles are lighted in Emily’s “cozy one-bedroom” apartment, iTunes shifts seamlessly from the Magnetic Fields to Maria Callas to Nina Simone, and although we love to look out her second-story windows at the packs of people clamoring between bars and parties, and although we half-made plans to go to bars and parties ourselves, there’s no way we’re going out. The abortion is scheduled for two days from now, and we’re holing up.

Is this the new liberal way to celebrate Christmas? Murder a child for Christmas. How ghoulish...how liberal.

I have noticed that lately editors have stopped spiking stories that would embarrass the writers.

You can't embarrass someone who has no shame.

“I’m not going to get more pregnant,” Emily says.

I’ve never felt pleasure more guiltily
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Emily married a jerk. He is using her to jerk-off. (literally!)

I had the same reaction. I can just picture the Times editors congratulating themselves for running this bizarre window into the “enlightened” progressive mind two days before Christmas.

That article was not only repulsive, it is also truly sad to read how soulless those two are.

As I read the little drama where she's in the kitchen yelling to him about the dumplings and he's teasing her, I thought how amusing that would have been for a child to hear.

But they killed it. Tore it out of her and threw it in the trash.

I wonder how much of a part Brian played in the decision.
A lot, I’m thinking.

Quite a self-congratulatory piece don’t you think?

Damn shame this pesky abortion interfered with their plans to go to bars and parties.

Yep. Damn shame.

Whatever part this guy played, he felt guilty enough about it to write an essay for the NYT that portrays him as a selfish, navel gazing yuppie idiot. I think he’s a tad self aware. In liberal land this passes a pro-life piece.

No, no.

You all don’t get it.

This is reverse psychology in action.

You take a story so evil, so amazingly shocking so that anyone with half a brain would be revulsed by the very cold-blooded nature of how callous these left-tards are and....

.... voilia!

We now have more pro-lifers on our side.

This was not only a pathetic excuse for “journalism”, it was, even worse, a lame way of presenting a recipe. So it strikes out on every count. WHY was this crap even published? Probably to reach out to a new demographic I’ve noticed the NYT is always vigilant to secure.
