This is welcome news--- since the most "popular" newborn name in England is now "Mohammad"...

I suggest dropping the BS and start praying... we have bigger fish to fry.

It’s just a temporary thing. Soon the muslims will outnumber both groups combined when it comes to religious services.

Can we get our churches back now? Or are they mosques?

More logical heads prevail.
Just as I was about to dump
you come up with a logical alternative. Yes, prayer is the answer, and will always be the answer. Thank you for your guidance.

Would the rest of you just look at this, now! Sure and you wouldn’t think of such a thing, Britain being majority Catholic and all that, what not! But just blessed somebody’s who’s counted Christians’ got to take up the cudgel against the bloody Mahommetans now, don’t they?
Our own Saint Patrick once chased all the serpents from the British Isles and he can do so once again now can’t he, lads?
`Mohammed’ the second most given boys’ name, is it? I’ll just be betting the lot of you that none of these named after their bloody `prophet’ knows naught about throwing a good old fashioned Irish uppercut, now do they?
That’s what AK-47s and airliners are for, aren’t they?

Paging the Defender of the Faith. Oh, wait, the defender-apparent is a TROP aficionado. Better the country is aligned with the Pope. Nevermind

I'll bet that this is largely due to the huge number of Irish people living in the UK.Ireland and the UK have for many years had laws which,in essence, gives citizens of the other country permission to settle there without hindrance.
And in recent years Irish citizens have settled in the UK by the hundreds of thousands....or more.

Naa. Better Catholic than indifferent. We just don’t believe that there is a 1-1 correspondence between Roman Catholic Church and Universal Church of all believers in Jesus Christ, and we don’t believe in the Magisterium. Small difference.

So have a lot of Poles.True enough.I was in Ireland and the UK earlier this year and I swear that every waitress and most of the front desk help in the hotels we ran into in Ireland were Polish.

Maybe people have left the Church of England because it has become a left-wing PC organization. Did not the Archbishop of Canterbury question the whole idea of the nativity a few days ago?
To: wolfpat
Anglicans don’t have faith anymore, just mushy feeling. It isn’t fair to call them a religion...more like a country club for liberals.

Well, I guess the divorce rate among the British royalty will plummet. They’ll have to go back to lopping off the heads of the unwanted wives. The mussies will like that.
