Maybe people have left the Church of England because it has become a left-wing PC organization. Did not the Archbishop of Canterbury question the whole idea of the nativity a few days ago?
Catholics and Protestants believe in:
The Bible
the Trinity
Jesus Christ as a personal saviour and Son of God
Heaven and hell
A Last Judgement
A Resurrection of the dead
The Nicene Creed
Muslims believe in:
An Arab Moon God
Killing anyone who doesn’t convert
A pedophilic desert bandit as the Last Messanger of God
Women as personal possessions
Dogs as unclean
Forbidding consumption of beer, whiskey, ale, wine and all similar good traditional western beverages containing alcohol
No pork chops, frankfurters, pork loins, or pork roasts.
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that Catholics and Protestants are far closer to each other than either is to Islam.
Neither does the Catholic Church these days.
This did not seem to be the case even twenty years ago, at least according to what Catholics told me then. As a non-Catholic observer, I am continually amazed at what I find in the new Catechism - glad I bought one for reference. Universal priesthood, anyone?
That’s too bad about the Magisterium. It includes the Bible and such. What do you do without that?
