Apparently, according to the documents below, Mike Huckabee took $35,000 in honoraria from a major embryonic stem cell research firm, Novo Nordisk, in late 2006 and early 2007. Earlier this year, Mitt Romney got substantial flack for owning stock in the same firm, and he divested himself of it. See the article below, with links to the documents and websites:
"The Cooler has obtained documents that show Mike Huckabee received $378,000 in consulting fees during 2006, while he was still governor of Arkansas. Most noteworthy, $35,000 came from Novo Nordisk, one of the world's largest embryonic stem cell researchers. It seems that when money is at stake Huckabee may be able to look past his supposedly fervent opposition to this procedure."
God doesn't care whether it's a huge hunk or a tiny bit -- we all are His creation, not pharmaceutical companies' assets to be experiemented with.
Huckabee is diabetic.
NO!!
Ya’ think?
And Thompson did legal work for abortionists. blood money which contributed to income..
Romneys wife attended pro abortion functions and he owned stock ..
Let he among you without sin cast the 1st stone
Pro life Alert Ping!
“And Thompson did legal work for abortionists. blood money which contributed to income.”
That is a bunch of bunk. He answered some questions put to him by another attorney in his law firm 17 years ago to relax the so called gag rule permitting physicians to talk about abortion with medicaid patients. He had no direct involvement and the effort to relax the rule was defeated bu the Bush 41 Administration.
Huckabee, a preacher who has made his bones by trumpeting his prolife convictions, took $35,000 in cold ash from a firm that traffics in unborn babies and experiments on them. You can’t possibly equate the two situations. They are not morally equivalent.
This is pretty serious for ol’ Huck.
“Let he among you without sin cast the 1st stone”
I am not casting stones. Jesus did not cast a stone at the women caught in adultery, but neither did he replace St. Peter, the prince of the Apostles, with her either. Huck should seek forgiveness and return to the pulpit. But not to the White House.
looks like Huk is not conservative even on prolife. He is the perfect candidate after all....for the Dems. LOL
But the others are fine?
Hypocrisy knows no end..
Just say you do not like the guy instead of looking for a non reason..
I know this will surprise you but Peter was a sinner too ...
Huck’s a schmuck, and his goose could be cooked. If this is true, he is a hypocrite of the first order.
Other than McCain who among the Republicans has a "perfect" profile record?
Make that was diabetic. He reversed his diabetes after losing 110 lbs.
Thompson assisted in the defense abortionists, be consistent huh?
Peter was a sinner, but not a hypocrite. That is the difference.
I am not looking for a reason not to vote for him. There are plenty. What I am doing is making sure Huck does not bamboozle prolifers into voting for him. When your campaign is built on a lot of deception (as Huckabee’s is) you need to be concerned that the truth will out. If you don’t like that, tough.
You don’t know what you’re talking about. All I can tell is that you luv scHmUCK.
He assisted on a case that defended abortionists, his "defense "was weak at best. If he is a man that can not stand on his PRINCIPLES with co workers do you think he can stand on them in political heat?
The answer is clear. I would have refused to assist them...but Fred goes along to get along
“Other than McCain who among the Republicans has a “perfect” profile record?”
No one. Including McCain, who supported embryonic stem ell research. The problem with Huckabee was that was supposed to be the issue on which he was perfect. On nearly every other issue (national defense, immigration, taxes, spending) he is a disaster. It turns out he is not reliable on right to life either. So there is no reason to vote for him.
LOL and you love weak kneed lazy Thompson., that lacked the courage of his prolife convictions.. so ???
