20 some years ago there was no work here. We went to the DC area for carpenter jobs. We lived for 5 months in tents at a campground in VA and cooked on Svea stoves. We were happy to have a job. Didn’t realize that I had been disenfranchized.

I know for a fact that a woman and 2 children from N. O. are living in the same apartment complex that I live in and are still receiving full rent payments from a government entity. I know this b/c the manager told me not 2 days ago. It’s a very nice complex and not cheap either. Over 2 years and they are still getting freebies. The woman does have a job though.

The middle class seems to be missing something here
Under my system of zero-welfare and pure free-market capitalism she would have to be productive , be it as a dish washer, Mcdonald’s cashier , or maid, either be productive or starve to death. Me thinks she would choose to be a cashier at Mcdonald’s rather than starve . But under our welfare state created by socialists/democrats/liberals she doesn’t have to work as she can sit on her bum and collect welfare, medicaid, public housing and who knows what other schemes.
