Silver has a long history of medicinal usage. Cremes and topical preparations made with Silver Sulfadiazine are still the treatment of choice for serious burns. The silver acts as a very power infection fighter, and promotes healing without scarring.
And I admit it, I’m and old geezer. I can open up my birth certificate and theres a spot on there for something called “eye treatment” or some such.
In that box, it says AgNO3, which is silver nitrate. They used to (and might still) put silver nitrate in the eyes of newborns to protect them from infections they might have been exposed to from the birth canal.
And it continues. Uses today range from band aids to pool filters to companies that are experimenting with ways to put nano silver technology in items like socks and underwear.
Silver is a VERY powerful antibiotic, and there are very, very few bacteria that are resistant. It works by disrupting the activity on the cell membranes of the bacteria, and they basically suffocate.
You hear of these cases occasionally, and I can only get the feeling that the dude was guzzling a quart of the stuff a week.
You can overdose on salt - or even water.

The above is from Wikipedia. There are definite medical uses for silver, and in my research, I don’t remember any source coming out and saying that it’s worthless, or ineffective, just turns you blue if you ingest it. (Except for the claims that it cures 650 diseases, and regenerates whatever.) If the guy on Hannity is still using it, maybe it works for whatever he’s taking it for.

heh. I went hiking with a large group a couple of years ago, and we had a guy who let himself get dehydrated - and another who over-hydrated and crashed his electrolyte levels. The latter was in worse shape once symptoms showed.
