Torture chamber found in Iraq
Yahoo News; AP ^ | Dec 20,2007 | BRADLEY BROOKS, Associated Press Writer

BAGHDAD - Blood-splotches on walls, chains hanging from a ceiling and swords on the killing floor — the artifacts left a disturbing tale of brutalities inside a suspected al-Qaida in Iraq torture chamber. But there was yet another chilling fact outside the dirt-floor dungeon. Villagers say they knew about the torment but were too intimidated by extremists to tell authorities until now.

Stories such as these — claims of insurgent abuses and the silence of frightened Iraqis — have emerged with increasing frequency and clarity recently as U.S.-led forces push deeper into former extremist fiefdoms and forge alliances with tribes seeking to reclaim their regions.

“were too intimidated by extremists to tell authorities ...”

I fear this is our future unless we keep a president in office who understands the real threat we face.

Given the mind set of the left in this country, I am sure they will say it really is ours.

I’ll give it 24 hours before the MSM is speculating that the CIA was using this on poor little Islamic terrorists

But see, AQ wasn’t in Irag prior to Bush/Chimpy/McHaliburton’s illegal invasion of Iraq based on lies about WMD. And, since we didn’t have enough troops on the ground and Abu Ghraib incited Islam against US and it was the US’ unwanted presence in the Middle East that this whole Viet-Nam like quagmire has taken hold and if not for our soldiers terrorizing innocent Iraqi women and children and committing atrocity after atrocity then this whole mess would never have happened....

The left simply doesn’t get what’s at stake here.

I’m sure Congress will be outraged to find that Al Qaeda tortured people.

Have you ever heard a Democrat mention al-Qaeda being in Iraq? I haven't.

Okay, did so.

I get so sick and tired of the moral equivalent arguments between our tactics and theirs. This is evil and I am glad that President Bush has the courage to fight it out, in spite of all the Quislings in our own country arguing in favor of the terrorists.

Both Sunni insurgents and Shiite militia death squads regularly torture their captives before killing them sometimes with power drills. Most of the hundreds of bodies that have turned up in Baghdad and other parts of Iraq show signs of torture.

Yeah, that's the same as waterboarding. < / s >

Yeah... I have heard their line of BS. They seem to forget that al-Zarqawi set up shop in Iraq after Afghanistan fell to the coalition forces and that al-Zarqawi planned from Iraq the successful assassination of US Diplomat Foley in Jordan before the start of the Iraq war.

But those are facts and the one thing that Democrats do not need are facts.
