If you say so but I have a huge aversion to seeing, over and over again, a girl of 16 called a slut. Did she make a really bad choice? Yes, she did. That is far different than being a slut. And what really kills me around here is that the same people who are calling her these names are the same jackasses that would lose it if she decided to quietly have an abortion with no one being the wiser. There is no winning with the Piety Crowd.
Y’know, it’s $hit like this that could make me pro-abort.
I don’t think she needs to be seen on TV. The best thing to discourage teen pregnancy is to fire her, and have the other kids not see her face around.
Same difference though.
Regardless of the amount, it just confirms what passes for parenting.

Another reality of celebrity is that it goes against the grain for a lot of people who believe that rewards come to those who work hard, follow the rules and live “good lives.”
What they perceive is a very basic unfairness that someone who doesn’t seem to work hard, play by the rules or live a good life is rewarded with a boat-load of money, admiration, fame, etc. etc.
They find it offensive on a variety of levels and rejoice when some bill comes due or a mistake is made.
She should put the baby up for adoption.
At my middle school, there are high schoolers who try to pick up on girls who are 12 an 13. Some of them are creeped out, but others of them are thrilled to be getting the attention from older guys. It's sickening.
Somebody ought to come down hard on the boyfriend.

Everyone of us has a cross to bear in some way, shape or form. Smugly acting as though yours is the most unbearable of all and everyone's else's are silly is not only disingenuous but narcissistic as hell.
This is a child we are talking about here. I don't care that her was mature enough to allow pregnancy, she's a child. She is a 16 year old girl with what seems to be far less than a great upbringing. Calling her a slut serves no purpose whatsoever, except for perhaps outing the asses for what they are.
Will they change the name of the show from “Zoey 101” to “Zoey 1 ON 1”?

Being under the microscope is part of the job for those people. So is being called a “slut.”
In time she’ll be processed through the celebrity machine and fade from pop culture memory.

Of course, lots of 16-year-olds get pregnant — even some from the best families. At that age, girls are damned near irresistibly cute to guys their own age, and the hormones in both boys and girls are turned up to 11. It’s actually a miracle that they all don’t get knocked up.
Of course, kids of that age are too young to be having sex with anybody. Unfortunately, the only way to stop them is 24 hour chaperonage — an impracticality at best. Therefore, sometimes damage control is the best one can do.
I hope the baby in this case is placed for adoption. Poor little thing — dragged into the middle of that train wreck of a family.
